Detection of Bacteroides forsythus and Porphyromonas gingivalis in infected root canals during periapical periodontitis by 16S rDNA [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Periapical periodontitis is termed when inflammation of the periodontium is caused by irritants of endodontic origin. Bacterial strains in the root canals were not easy to be identified by the traditional agar culture.

Single‐Cell Computational Frameworks for Quantifying BET Bromodomain Inhibitor Resistance and Screening Re‐Sensitizer Drugs in Triple‐Negative Breast Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
To combat BET inhibitor resistance in triple‐negative breast cancer, we developed two single‐cell computational frameworks. FR20 quantifies resistance by integrating ferroptosis‐related gene signatures, while D‐FR20 screens for potential re‐sensitizers.

Expert consensus on difficulty assessment of endodontic therapy

open access: yesInternational Journal of Oral Science
Endodontic diseases are a kind of chronic infectious oral disease. Common endodontic treatment concepts are based on the removal of inflamed or necrotic pulp tissue and the replacement by gutta-percha.

Conformable Microelectrode Arrays Integrated with a Scoop‐Shaped Slide‐Well for Dynamic Electrophysiological Profiling of Patient‐Derived Cardiac Organoids

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A flexible, ultrathin multi‐channel microelectrode array (MEA) conformally integrated onto a curved slide‐well enables stable electrical interfacing with 3D cardiac organoids. The geometry‐guided self‐alignment allows simultaneous recording of extracellular field potentials and contractile motion from irregular, beating tissues.

Сравнение состояния полости зуба после обработки системой самоадаптирующихся машинных файлов и временного пломбирования лечебными препаратами при хронических формах периодонтита

open access: yesЭндодонтия Today, 2020
Modern treatment techniques use fillings of tooth root canals with temporary pastes. However, today we have a new option for treatment, which does not require temporary closure of the root canal by medical pastes.

BGN/MDK Axis in the Melanoma Tumor Microenvironment Strengthens Tumor Malignancy by Modulating Cancer Cells and Cancer‐Associated Fibroblasts Crosstalk

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals that m6A regulators cooperatively upregulate BGN in melanoma, promoting malignancy. Within the tumor microenvironment, CAFs show highest BGN expression. The BGN/MDK axis mediates cancer‐stroma crosstalk, driving normal fibroblast (NF) activation and enhancing the pro‐tumor effect of CAFs, highlighting a promising therapeutic target ...

Gut Mycobiota‐Associated Tryptophan Catabolites Protect Against Metabolic Dysfunction‐Associated Steatotic Liver Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Accumulating evidence suggests that the intestinal microbiota participates in the progression of metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) through microbiota‐host interaction. However, the beneficial role of commensal mycobiota in MASLD progression remains poorly understood.
