The human gut microbiome across the life course

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.

Behaviour of Dickey-Fuller Unit Root Tests Under Trend Misspecification [PDF]

open access: yes
We analyse the case where a unit root test is based on a Dickey-Fuller regression whose only deterministic term is a fixed intercept. Suppose, however, as could well be the case, that the actual data generating process includes a broken linear trend.

Soil Mechanical Resistance and Root Growth and Function

open access: yes
The effects of soil strength on root growth impact plant growth and crop yield, particularly in the context of soils that are structurally degraded and subjected to changing climate where rainfall may be intense, sometimes with long periods between ...

Response of Root Properties to Tripartite Symbiosis between Lucerne (Medicago sativa L.), Rhizobia and Mycorrhiza Under Dry Organic Farming Conditions

open access: yes, 2009
It is generally considered that root turnover is a major contributor to organic matter and mineral nutrient cycles in organic managed agroecosystems. Approach: This study designed to investigate whether microbial activity could affect on root properties ...

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

Formulation and characteristics of Film Forming Hydrogel (FFH) of yellow root extract (Arcangelisia Flava (L.) Merr.) as wound healing for burns

open access: yes
The aim of this study was to determine the effect of different concentrations of yellow root extract (Arcangelisia Flava (L.) Merr.) and film-forming hydrogel (FFH) polymer on the physicochemical characteristics and stability of the preparation.

Agronomic and physiological characteristics of high yield and nitrogen use efficient varieties of rice: Comparison between two near‐isogenic lines

open access: yesFood and Energy Security
Increasing the application of nitrogen fertilizer is the main approach to increase rice production, but it also brings problems of environmental pollution and increases agricultural production costs.

Optimal interspecific distance maintains soybean yield by promoting canopy–root synergy in a maize–soybean relay strip cropping system

open access: yesCrop Journal
Maize–soybean relay cropping increases land-equivalent ratio, but shading often limits soybean productivity. Optimizing strip relay configurations improves the light environment for soybean, enhancing its photosynthetic capacity and yield. In a four-year
