The neural crest‐associated gene ERRFI1 is involved in melanoma progression and resistance toward targeted therapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
ERRFI1, a neural crest (NC)‐associated gene, was upregulated in melanoma and negatively correlated with the expression of melanocytic differentiation markers and the susceptibility of melanoma cells toward BRAF inhibitors (BRAFi). Knocking down ERRFI1 significantly increased the sensitivity of melanoma cells to BRAFi.

New Geometric Formalism for Gravity Equation in Empty Space

open access: yes, 2004
In this paper, a complex daor field which can be regarded as the square root of space-time metric is proposed to represent gravity. The locally complexified geometry is set up, and the complex spin connection constructs a bridge between gravity and SU(1 ...

Cis‐regulatory and long noncoding RNA alterations in breast cancer – current insights, biomarker utility, and the critical need for functional validation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The noncoding region of the genome plays a key role in regulating gene expression, and mutations within these regions are capable of altering it. Researchers have identified multiple functional noncoding mutations associated with increased cancer risk in the genome of breast cancer patients.

Comparison of fit among different types of post restorations luted with conventional cement

open access: yesJournal of Baghdad College of Dentistry, 2014
Background: with the advent of new postmaterial in dentistry, it has become important to measure fitness of post restoration along the horizontal plane of the root space. This study aimed to measure and compare, the cement film thickness of conventional ...

Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Variable Taper Nickel-Titanium Rotary Instrument Technique

open access: yesSaudi Endodontic Journal, 2011
Removal of all organic debris and microorganisms from the root canal system, and shaping the root canal space is a very important step in root canal therapy. This will facilitate adequate irrigation and filling of the entire root canal space. A number of

Universality of Brunnian ($N$-body Borromean) four and five-body systems

open access: yes, 2010
We compute binding energies and root mean square radii for weakly bound systems of $N=4$ and $5$ identical bosons. Ground and first excited states of an $N$-body system appear below the threshold for binding the system with $N-1$ particles.
