RORγt is a key transcription factor regulating both Th17 differentiation and thymocyte development. Although Th17 cells drive autoimmune diseases, inhibiting RORγt to treat autoimmunity also disrupts thymocyte development and can cause lethal thymic ...

Microbiota Therapy Acts Via a Regulatory T Cell MyD88/RORγt Pathway to Suppress Food Allergy
The role of dysbiosis in food allergy (FA) remains unclear. We found that dysbiotic fecal microbiota in FA infants evolved compositionally over time and failed to protect against FA in mice.

ABSTRACT Testicular germ cell tumors (TGCT) are the leading malignancy in adolescent and young adult males, yet the immunological and cellular mechanisms governing their tumor microenvironment (TME) remain poorly understood. Here, we present a comprehensive review of TGCT pathobiology with a focus on the immune landscape, particularly the role of tumor‐

This systematic review establishes disease‐specific dysregulations of human innate lymphoid cells (ILCs), demonstrating that an ILC1/ILC3 imbalance compromises mucosal barriers in inflammatory bowel disease, while activated ILC2s drive allergic airway inflammation.

The dual nature of Rorγt in colitis.
Rorγt-dependent ILC3 produce cytokines like IL17 and GM-CSF that drive innate immune mediated inflammation. Cytokines like IL22 and IL17 also reduce inflammation in the gut, by inducing mucosal healing and antimicrobial defenses.

SRC3 Is a Cofactor for RORγt in Th17 Differentiation but Not Thymocyte Development [PDF]
SRC3, a highly conserved member of the steroid receptor coactivator (SRC) family, is recruited by transcription factors to regulate cellular function.

Periodontitis and Inflammatory Bowel Diseases: Mechanistic Evidence
This review aims to provide a conceptual framework for understanding the mechanistic interplay between periodontitis and IBD, with a particular emphasis on the microbial and immunological crosstalk linking the oral cavity and the gastrointestinal tract.

Interplay between RORγt, Egr3, and E Proteins Controls Proliferation in Response to Pre-TCR Signals [PDF]
SummaryThe response of thymocytes to pre-T cell receptor (pre-TCR) signaling includes proliferation and gene rearrangement, two cellular processes that are incompatible.

Antibiotic‐mediated immune modulation in periodontitis
Abstract Periodontitis is a chronic inflammatory disease affecting the supporting structures of the teeth. Although initiated by dysbiotic microbial communities, its progression is largely driven by the host's uncontrolled inflammatory response. While antibiotics have conventionally been employed in periodontitis therapy for their antimicrobial ...

Mapping the omics landscape for peri‐implant diseases: A scoping review
Abstract Objectives To map omics evidence across peri‐implant health, peri‐implant mucositis, and peri‐implantitis, and to identify recurring molecular patterns and candidate biomarker signals relevant to diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment. Materials and Methods This scoping review included human studies using genomics, DNA methylation–based ...
