Intragenic recombinations in rotaviruses [PDF]
In this paper, evidence for intragenic recombination in the VP7 gene between rotavirus strains bearing different serotypes is demonstrated for the first time. Intragenic recombination may be one of the escaping mechanisms from the host immune system for rotavirus.

An atypical rotavirus detected in a child with gastroenteritis in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Particles morphologically identical to rotaviruses were found in the faeces of a nine week-old child with gastroenteritis. Analysis of the viral RNA genome by polyacrylamine gel electrophoresis revealed 10 bands (probably 11 segments) some of wich ...

This study performs pan‐viromic profiling of 14,529 samples from 5,710 domestic herbivores across five Chinese provinces, establishing the DhCN‐Virome (1,085,360 viral metagenomes). It reveals species/sample‐specific viromic signatures and cross‐species transmission dynamics, aiding unified disease control.

ABSTRACT Background and Aims Rotavirus is a leading cause of severe diarrhoeal disease in young children worldwide. In 2024, Iran introduced the pentavalent oral vaccine Rotasiil® into its national immunization program. This study aimed to estimate its potential epidemiological impact using an agent‐based modeling (ABM) approach.
