Current Status and Challenges in Data Collection for Aerospace Coatings Deposited by Plasma Spraying
An innovative approach has been integrated into the GRENAT project to optimize plasma spraying and coating performance. Raw materials are accelerated and melted in the plasma generated by torches, creating coatings. Monitoring sensors collect process data which are combined with ex situ characterization data.

Liquid-liquid dispersions from in-line rotor-stator mixers [PDF]
Experiments were performed on an industrial scale Silverson in-line rotor-stator mixer to investigate its liquid-liquid dispersion capabilities. A non-coalescing kerosene-water system was used in the tests and the effect of stator geometry, rotor ...

Data reduction problems using a 3 holes directional pressure probe to investigate mean flow characteristics in the vaneless gap between impeller and diffuser radial pump [PDF]
Among several different measurement techniques that have been already performed and presented in a radial impeller pump model including PIV, a directional pressure probe has been used to obtain mean velocity field and stagnation pressure between impeller

Optimization of the Production of Rubber Compounds Using Mathematical Models
Rubber compounds were mixed in a batch internal mixer, and symbolic regression was used to derive mathematical models linking recipe and process parameters to ram path, torque, and mixing quality (incorporation, dispersion, distribution). Subsequent optimization with evolutionary algorithms identified operating conditions that reduce specific energy ...

Mucoadhesive amphiphilic block and statistical copolymers were synthesized via Reversible Addition–Fragmentation Chain Transfer polymerization from bio‐sourced myrcene and polyethylene glycol methacrylate. The resulting polymers exhibit narrow molar‐mass distributions, high regioselectivity, well‐defined microstructures, and tend to self‐assemble into ...

Numerical simulation analysis of flow characteristics in the cavity of the rotor-stator system
Investigating the flow characteristics in the cavity by changing the rotor profile of the rotor-stator system is of considerable significance, this paper simplifies clearance flow to rotor-stator cavity flow. The numerical simulation results are compared

Heat transfer in rotor stator cavity [PDF]
This paper presents a procedure for experimental determining the local heat transfer coefficient in the rotor-stator cavity. As an operating medium is used a hot air with various mass flow rate and rotating speed of the cavity wall. The surface temperature and heat flux distribution takes into account the change of material properties as a function of ...
