Risk assessment of wild fish as environmental sources of red sea bream iridovirus (RSIV) outbreaks in aquaculture [PDF]
: Red sea bream iridovirus (RSIV) causes substantial economic damage to aquaculture. In the present study, RSIV in wild fish in an aquaculture environment was surveyed to evaluate the risk of wild fish being an infection source for RSIV outbreaks in ...

Comparative study of ranavirus isolates from cod (Gadus morhua) and turbot (Psetta maxima) with reference to other ranaviruses [PDF]
Two iridovirus isolates recovered from cod (Gadus morhua) and turbot (Psetta maxima) in Denmark were examined in parallel with a panel of other ranaviruses including frog virus 3 (FV3), the reference strain for the genus Ranavirus.

SUSCEPTIBILITY OF DIFFERENT CELLS TO RED SEA BREAM IRIDOVIRUS (RSIV)
RSIV is an isolate virus in the genus Megalocytivirus (family Iridoviridae) that has been reported to be pathogen in more than 31 marine fish species in East Asia. The aim of study was to know the susceptibility of several cultured cells to RSIV. RSIV inoculum was inoculated onto cultured cells and then incubated in 25oC.

Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) Amplification of DNA of Red Sea Bream Iridovirus (RSIV)
The polymerase chain reaction (PCR) was used to amplify DNA of the red sea bream iridovirus (RSIV). Four oligonucleotide primer sets based on the ATPase gene, DNA polymerase gene, and a Pst I-restriction fragment of RSIV genomic DNA were synthesized. PCR products of the expected size were amplified with each primer set after 30 cycles using template ...
