Roles of Alp and Prt Regulons in the Response of Pseudomonas aeruginosa to UV‐C Light

open access: yesEnvironmental Microbiology Reports, Volume 18, Issue 1, February 2026.
Our results show that LexA‐regulated genes are the first to be induced after DNA damage, while autolysis functions controlled by the Alp system are the last. Death by UV is mediated primarily by Alp or Prt systems, depending on the Pseudomonas aeruginosa subline. ABSTRACT UV light is a well‐studied environmental DNA damaging agent.

Using an Unbiased Coexpression Network to Reveal Cross‐Talking Pathways of Phosphoinositide‐3‐Kinase Regulatory Subunit 1 in Skin Aging and Rejuvenation

open access: yesThe FASEB Journal, Volume 40, Issue 2, 31 January 2026.
Mechanistic pathways of PIK3R1 in skin aging and rejuvenation were analyzed by bioinformatics approach and Gene Expression Omnibus database. Compared with young skin, PIK3R1 was differentially expressed in aged and IPL rejuvenated skin. Coexpression and network analyses revealed that PIK3R1 jointly participated in skin aging and rejuvenation via PI3K ...

The Microbiome Modulates Corneal Wound Healing via the Induction of Cholesterol Sulfotransferase Pathway

open access: yesThe FASEB Journal, Volume 40, Issue 2, 31 January 2026.
Antibiotic‐mediated disruption of commensal microbiota increases corneal cholesterol sulfate (CS) production through upregulation of SULT2B1, resulting in impaired corneal epithelial wound healing. Elevated CS suppresses neutrophil recruitment and epithelial cell migration via inhibition of the DOCK2–Rac pathway.

Bis(2‐Amino‐5‐thienyl)keton als sauerstofftoleranter Sensibilisator für die konventionelle radikalische Photopolymerisation

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 138, Issue 5, 28 January 2026.

Accessing Molecular Complexity from Methane and Other Gaseous Alkanes via Photocatalytic Cascade Cyclization

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 138, Issue 5, 28 January 2026.
An iron‐catalyzed protocol for the cascade cyclization of N‐aryl and N‐benzoyl acrylamides promoted by methane and other gaseous alkanes is reported. The current protocol provides an efficient platform for the conversion of feedstock gaseous alkanes into complex and medicinally relevant N‐heterocycles.

Bis(2‐amino‐5‐thienyl)Ketone as Oxygen Tolerant Sensitizer for Conventional Radical Photopolymerization

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, Volume 65, Issue 5, 28 January 2026.
Bis(2‐amino‐5‐thienyl)ketones operate as sensitizer in multi‐component photoinitiating systems using either diaryl iodonium cation or amino benzoates as coinitiators to initiate conventional radical polymerization following either oxidative or reduction photoinduced electron transfer protocol, respectively.
