The Effect of Using Different Probiotics on the Performance, Digestibility of Nutrients, Feces Score, Blood Parameters and Skeletal Indices of Suckling Holstein's Calves

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 12, Issue 5, September 2026.
Adding probiotics to calf milk significantly improved growth, resulting in higher final body weight and daily weight gain compared to the control group. Probiotics, particularly Bacillus subtilis, enhanced fecal consistency scores, nutrient digestibility, and skeletal development.

The influence of using fermentated rumen content at quail feed to the protein of yolk and albumen of quail eggs

open access: yesJurnal Agro Veteriner
Ruminal content is one of slaughterhouse waste that has not been utilized optimally, in fact there are cases where ruminal content are thrown away haphazardly, causing environmental pollution.

Effects of Nano Zinc Oxide Supplementation on Oxidative Stress and Selected Metabolic Parameters During the Transition Period in Lacaune Ewes

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 12, Issue 5, September 2026.
Nano zinc oxide supplementation did not significantly affect TOS, TAS or OSI in transition period Lacaune ewes. However, treatment related responses were observed for BHBA, phosphorus and total cholesterol, suggesting limited metabolic effects that require cautious interpretation.

Preliminary Study on the Impact of Ruminal Ciliate Inoculation in Fauna-Free Conditions on the Ruminal Fermentation and Ciliate–Prokaryote Association In Vitro

open access: yesFermentation
Ruminants rely on the rumen for the anaerobic fermentation of fibrous plant materials, facilitated by a complex microbial community of bacteria, archaea, fungi, and ciliates.

Cottonseed Cake as an Additive in BRS Capiaçu Grass Silage: Impacts on the Fermentative, Chemical, and Digestibility Characteristics of the Silages

open access: yesNew Zealand Journal of Agricultural Research, Volume 69, Issue 4, August 2026.
One of the major challenges in livestock production in the semiarid region of Brazil is the scarcity of water and feed for animals. In this context, the valorization of adapted forage crops associated with by‐products generated in the agro‐industry can contribute to circular agriculture, reduce waste, and promote more efficient use of natural resources,
