Assessing in-session rumination during CBT for depression: Replication and further evaluation of an observational measure

open access: yesJournal of Mood and Anxiety Disorders
This study sought to further evaluate an observational measure of rumination that occurs during psychotherapy (i.e., in-session rumination). Specifically, the study aimed to replicate the reliability of an observational rating procedure in new therapy ...

An Experimental High‐Throughput Approach for the Screening of Hard Magnet Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
An entire workflow for the high‐throughput characterization and analysis of compositionally graded magnetic films is presented. Characterization protocols, data management tools and data analysis approaches are illustrated with test case Sm(Fe, V)12 based films.

The Potential of Wearable Sensors for Detecting Cognitive Rumination: A Scoping Review

open access: yesSensors
Cognitive rumination, a transdiagnostic symptom across mental health disorders, has traditionally been assessed through self-report measures. However, these measures are limited by their temporal nature and subjective bias.

Feeding concentrate in early lactation based on rumination time

open access: yes, 2014
Precision feeding of dairy cows facilitates optimization of milk production. Accordingly, the objective was to study the effect on milk production when stepping up concentrate at 3 rates in early lactation according to individual daily rumination time (RT).

Natural Bone‐Derived Ceramic Scaffolds Functionalized with Chitosan‐Gold, Chitosan‐Magnesium, and Chitosan‐Zinc for Enhanced Antibacterial Activity

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study reports the development of antibacterial ceramic scaffolds derived from natural bovine bone. The bones were processed through sequential boiling and hydrogen peroxide treatment to remove organic matter, producing porous, mineral‐rich scaffolds.

Study Regarding Rumination Behavior in Cattle – Position Adopted by Cows During Rumination Process

open access: yesScientific Papers Animal Science and Biotechnologies, 2023
Aim of this research was to describe some aspects regarding the position adopted by lactating dairy cows during rumination process. Researches were carried out on 20 multiparous Romanian Black and White cows, housed in total confinement in a tied ...

Bioscience of ruminant intake evolution: feeding time models

open access: yesAdvances in Bioscience and Biotechnology, 2011
Ruminants have evolved to ruminate mostly over- night and graze during day. As such, rumen fermentation, post-rumen nutrient assimilation and peripheral metabolism have 24-h patterns. These evolutionary rhythms in eating behavior and metabolism have led to annual, seasonal, and circadian rhythms in ruminant endocrinology.

Encyclopedia of 2D β′‐In2Se3 Growth Using Chemical Vapor Deposition: The Effects of Synthesis Parameters Onto Material Quality

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A distinct semi‐confined inner‐tube chemical vapor deposition geometry enables reproducible, large‐area growth of phase‐pure 2D β′‐In2Se3 from InI + Se precursors. Engineering local vapor transport and optimizing precursor delivery and temperature–time conditions yield uniform continuous films.

Influence of Surface Finish on the Tribological Performance of AlTiBN Coatings Deposited on Forming Tools

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Aluminum and nitride coatings are used in industry because they are hard, resist wear, and protect against oxidation. Adding boron can improve friction behavior and other properties. This study tests coatings on surfaces with different finishes. Results show smoother surfaces perform better, while rough ones wear faster, although coatings can reduce ...
