Osmium(II) and Ruthenium(II) complexes of tricyclohexylphosphine [PDF]

open access: yesRecueil des Travaux Chimiques des Pays-Bas, 1972
AbstractThe preparation of tricyclohexylphosphine complexes of osmium and ruthenium is reported. The reaction of K2OsCl6 or hydrated RuCl3 with tricyclohexylphosphine (PCy3) in 2‐methoxyethanol leads to the complexes MHCl(CO) (PCy3)2 with M = Os or Ru.

Synthesis and photophysical studies of a multivalent photoreactive RuII-calix[4]arene complex bearing RGD-containing cyclopentapeptides

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2018
Photoactive ruthenium-based complexes are actively studied for their biological applications as potential theragnostic agents against cancer. One major issue of these inorganic complexes is to penetrate inside cells in order to fulfil their function ...

Ruthenium(II) Complexes of Mixed Bipyridyl and Dithiolate Ligands: Synthesis, Characterization and Electrochemical Studies

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrochemical Science, 2019
We report the synthesis, characterization and electrochemical studies of four ruthenium(II) complexes of mixed bipyridyl and dithiolate ligands. The complexes formulated as [Ru(L1)(dcbpy)], [Ru(L2)(dcbpy)], [Ru(L3)(dcbpy)] and [Ru(L4)(dcbpy)] where L1 ...

Synthetic Route of Trithiolato-Bridged Dinuclear Arene Ruthenium(II) Complexes [(η6-P-MeC6H4Pri)2Ru2(μ2-SR)3]+

open access: yes, 2020
Several dinuclear thiophenolato-bridged arene ruthenium complexes [(η6-p-MeC6H4Pri)2Ru2(μ2-SC6H4-R)3]+ could so far onlybe obtained with moderate yields using the synthetic route established in the early 2000s.

Organometallic cis‐Dichlorido Ruthenium(II) Ammine Complexes [PDF]

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Inorganic Chemistry, 2011
AbstractBifunctional neutral half‐sandwich RuII complexes of the type [(η6‐arene)Ru(NH3)Cl2] where arene is p‐cym (1) or bip (2) were synthesised by the reaction of N,N‐dimethylbenzylamine (dmba), NH4PF6 and the corresponding RuII arene dimer, and were fully characterised.

Photochemical ligand ejection from non-sterically promoted Ru(ii)bis(diimine) 4,4′-bi-1,2,3-triazolyl complexes

open access: yes, 2014
Complexes of the form [Ru(diimine)2(btz)]2+ (btz = 1,1′-dibenzyl-4,4′-bi-1,2,3-triazolyl) are observed to undergo photochemical ejection of the btz ligand in the absence of any promotion through steric congestion to generate cis-bis(solvent) complexes ...

The Adsorption of Ru-Based Dyes on the TiO2 Surface to Enhance the Photovoltaic Efficiency of Dye-Sensitized Solar Cell Devices

open access: yesMolecules
Adsorption of mononuclear tris(bipyridine) ruthenium(II) complexes and binuclear tris(bipyridine) ruthenium(II) complexes equipped with carboxyl groups (-COOH) on the (111) surface of TiO2 crystal in anatase form was modeled using Monte Carlo simulations,

Ruthenium(II)-diimin-Komplexe: Photosensibilisatoren mit einzigartigen Eigenschaften

open access: yesCHIMIA, 1990
Some Ruthenium(II)-diimine complexes have remarkable properties, which allow them to act as photosensitizers for the conversion of 'photon energy' into other utilizable energy forms.

Organometallic iridium(III) anticancer complexes with new mechanisms of action: NCI-60 screening, mitochondrial targeting, and apoptosis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Platinum complexes related to cisplatin, cis-[PtCl2(NH3)2], are successful anticancer drugs; however, other transition metal complexes offer potential for combating cisplatin resistance, decreasing side effects, and widening the spectrum of activity ...

Spectrophotometric Determination of Formation Constants of Iron(III) Complexes with Several Ligands

open access: yesChemistry, 2022
Dye-sensitized solar cells transform solar light into electricity. One commonly used dye is a ruthenium complex. However, the use of ruthenium has been shown to have several disadvantages.
