A photo-responsive F-box protein FOF2 regulates floral initiation by promoting FLC expression in Arabidopsis. [PDF]
Floral initiation is regulated by various genetic pathways in response to light, temperature, hormones and developmental status; however, the molecular mechanisms underlying the interactions between different genetic pathways are not fully understood ...

β‐TrCP overexpression enhances cisplatin sensitivity by depleting BRCA1
Low levels of β‐TrCP (Panel A) allow the accumulation of BRCA1 and CtIP, which facilitate the repair of cisplatin‐induced DNA damage via homologous recombination (HR) and promote tumor cell survival. In contrast, high β‐TrCP expression (Panel B) leads to BRCA1 and CtIP degradation, impairing HR repair, resulting in persistent DNA damage and apoptosis ...

This study explores salivary RNA for breast cancer (BC) diagnosis, prognosis, and follow‐up. High‐throughput RNA sequencing identified distinct salivary RNA signatures, including novel transcripts, that differentiate BC from healthy controls, characterize histological and molecular subtypes, and indicate lymph node involvement.

This study investigated how PYCR1 inhibition in bone marrow stromal cells (BMSCs) indirectly affects multiple myeloma (MM) cell metabolism and viability. Culturing MM cells in conditioned medium from PYCR1‐silenced BMSCs impaired oxidative phosphorylation and increased sensitivity to bortezomib.

Identification of S-genotypes of sweet cherry cultivars from Central and Eastern Europe
Sweet cherry is a species that is characterized by self-incompatibility, which causes difficulties in obtaining high yields of sweet cherry fruit. Determination of the composition of the S-alleles of sweet cherry cultivars is useful both to growers ...

Caractérisation moléculaire de cinq nouveaux allèles-S liés à l’autoincompatibilité chez des cultivars locaux espagnols d’amandier [PDF]
Almond is a highly heterozygous species with a high number of S-alleles controlling its gametophytic self-incompatibility system (GSI). In this work we have analysed Spanish local almond cultivars for S-RNase allele diversity.

Thiol-based redox regulation in sexual plant reproduction: new insights and perspectives [PDF]
The success of sexual reproduction in plants involves (i) the proper formation of the plant gametophytes (pollen and embryo sac) containing the gametes, (ii) the accomplishment of specific interactions between pollen grains and the stigma, which ...

A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.

Molecular modeling of RNases from almond involved in serlf-incompatibility [PDF]
Gametophytic self-incompatibility (GSI) is a natural mechanism in flowering plants, including almond and other fruit tree species, to prevent inbreeding and promote outcrossing. It is typically under the control of a specific locus, known as the S-locus,

The Molecular and Genetic Bases of S-RNase-Based Self-Incompatibility [PDF]
The majority of flowering plants produce perfect flowers that contain both the male and female reproductive organs in close proximity; consequently, they would have a strong tendency to self-fertilize if there were no mechanisms to prevent them from doing so.
