SENSITIZATION TO STREPTOCOCCUS PYOGENES AT CHILDREN OF EARLY AND PRESCHOOL AGE WITH RECURRENT RESPIRATORY INFECTIONS — PREDICTORS OF RHEUMATIC PATHOLOGY

open access: yesИнфекция и иммунитет, 2015
Streptococcus pyogenes is the reason of rheumatism and a post-streptococcal glomerulonephritis. Primary colonization of mucosal with this microorganism develops in the period of early ontogenesis. It was confirmed that at a carriage of this microorganism

Cardiovascular outcomes for Australian women with rheumatic heart disease during pregnancy: A retrospective linked data analysis, 2002–2017

open access: yesActa Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica, EarlyView.
This retrospective cohort study used linked data to measure the proportion of women with rheumatic heart disease (RHD) who experienced major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) after 20 weeks of gestation. Before birth, 4.5% of women with initially uncomplicated RHD and 31.8% of women with initially complicated RHD experienced RHD‐MACE.

Inactivation of the CovR/S virulence regulator impairs infection in an improved murine model of Streptococcus pyogenes naso-pharyngeal infection.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2013
Streptococcus pyogenes is a leading cause of pharyngeal infection, with an estimated 616 million cases per year. The human nasopharynx represents the major reservoir for all S. pyogenes infection, including severe invasive disease.

Impact of Gentamicin‐Impregnated Collagen Sponge on the Incidence of Access Related Infections After Full‐Support Microaxial Flow Pump Therapy

open access: yesArtificial Organs, EarlyView.
Local application of gentamicin for wound closure after full‐support microaxial flow pump therapy. ABSTRACT Background Surgically implanted microaxial flow pumps (mAFP) are increasingly used for cardiogenic shock treatment. Standard mAFP explantation is performed bedside with a shortening of the vascular prosthesis, which may represent a potential ...
