Identification of Synthetic Urine by Analysis of Stable Carbon and Nitrogen Isotope Ratios and Comparison to Established GC‐MS/MS and LC‐MS/MS Analysis

This study compared GC‐MS/MS, EA‐IRMS, and LC‐MS/MS for detecting synthetic and manipulated urine samples in doping control and forensic analysis. EA‐IRMS proved particularly effective for identifying mixtures of synthetic and authentic urine, providing a reliable complement to established authenticity testing methods.

Carbon Input and Tillage Intensity Modulate Pedo‐Climatic Controls of Topsoil but Not Subsoil Physical Properties

Pedo‐climatic context and soil management co‐determine soil physical properties across ten European long‐term field experiments. The ratios (1:3 and 1:8) illustrate that pedo‐climatic conditions explained approximately three times more variability than management in the topsoil and eight times more in the subsoil.
