Influence of blending ratio on the physicochemical properties of safflower oil methyl ester-safflower oil, safflower oil methyl ester-diesel and safflower oil-diesel

Renewable Energy, 2016
Abstract In this study, the methyl ester production and characterization from safflower oil (SO) was examined. The seed were collected from Yozgat-Turkey and SO was obtained from safflower seeds using screw press. SO was transesterified with methanol and NaOH to obtain safflower oil methyl ester (SOME).

Biological effects of autoxidized safflower oils

Lipids, 1973
AbstractStudies on the biological effects of autoxidized safflower oil are reported. Autoxidized safflower oil (peroxide value 465 me/kg) was administered daily by intubation in doses of 1 ml to weanling male rats of the Sprague‐Dawley strain. Groups of rats were killed at 3 days, 3 weeks and 3 months after starting the daily doses.
