The FEBS Journal, EarlyView.Post‐transcriptional gene expression regulation is controlled by RNA‐binding proteins (RBPs), which influence many processes including splicing, localization, translation, and decay. Rather than acting alone, RBPs bind RNAs combinatorially, forming complex, context‐dependent regulatory networks.
