Pharmacokinetics, Tissue Distribution, and Excretion of Salidroside in Rats
Planta Medica, 2013The present study investigated the pharmacokinetics, excretion, and tissue distribution of salidroside, a main active constituent in the roots of Rhodiola species. The plasma concentration declined rapidly following the intravenous dosing at 7.5, 15, and 30 mg/kg with a short half-life time of about 1 h.

[Microbial synthesis of salidroside].
Sheng wu gong cheng xue bao = Chinese journal of biotechnology, 2019Salidroside, as one of the main active ingredients of Rhodiala plant, has the effects of anti-hypoxia, anti-radiation, anti-fatigue, anti-tumor, hypoglycemia and improving immunity. With the increasing demand for salidroside and the decreasing of plant resources, microbial production of salidroside has attracted much attention due to its advantages of ...

Anti-fatigue effects of salidroside in mice
Journal of Medical Colleges of PLA, 2008Abstract Objective To study the anti-fatigue effects of salidroside in mice. Methods Totally 120 normal male Kunming mice were randomized into 5 groups (4 salidroside intervention groups and the control group) based on body weight. The control group was given distilled water and the 4 intervention groups were given various doses of salidroside ...

Salidroside modulates repolarization through stimulating Kv2.1 in rats
European Journal of PharmacologyVoltage-gated potassium (Kv) channel growth is strongly associated with the development of arrhythmia. Salidroside (Sal), an active component from Rhodiola crenulata, has been shown to exert protective effects against heart disease. The present study was conducted to investigate the effects of Sal on Kv2.1 channel, and to explore the ionic mechanism of

Engineering Escherichia coli for Efficient De Novo Synthesis of Salidroside.
Journal of Agricultural and Food ChemistrySalidroside is a high-value plant-derived glycoside with diverse biological activities, but the main industrial salidroside production method, extraction from Rhodiola plants, is insufficient to meet the growing market demand.

Salidroside Attenuates LPS-Induced Acute Lung Injury in Rats
Inflammation, 2017The purpose of the present study was to investigate the effects of salidroside (Sal) on lung injury in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced endotoxemic in vitro and in vivo. SD rats were randomly divided into five groups: control group, LPS group (15 mg kg-1), LPS plus dexamethasone (2 mg kg-1), and LPS plus Sal groups with different Sal doses (20 mg kg-1,

Enzymatic Glucosylation of Salidroside from Starch by α-Amylase
Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, 2019α-Amylases are among the most important and widely used industrial enzymes for starch processing. In this work, an α-amylase from Bacillus subtilis XL8 was purified and found to possess both hydrolysis and transglycosylation activities. The optimal pH and temperature for starch hydrolysis were pH 5.0 and 70 °C, respectively.

Salidroside Protects Human Erythrocytes against Hydrogen Peroxide-Induced Apoptosis
Journal of Natural Products, 2012Rhodiola rosea is a commonly used folk medicine for the treatment of high altitude sickness, mountain malhypoxia, and anoxia. Its active ingredient, salidroside [2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)ethyl β-D-glucopyranoside (1)], has been reported to have a broad spectrum of biological effects.
