Neuroprotective Effects of Salidroside on Cerebral Ischemia/Reperfusion-Induced Behavioral Impairment Involves the Dopaminergic System

open access: yesFrontiers in Pharmacology, 2019
Salidroside, a phenylpropanoid glycoside, is the main bioactive component of Rhodiola rosea L. Salidroside has prominent anti-stroke effects in cerebral ischemia/reperfusion models. However, the underlying mechanisms of its actions are poorly understood.

Natural Products Targeting the EGFR/HER2 Axis in Tumorigenesis: Interpretation of Molecular Mechanisms and Recent Insights Into Synergistic Strategies for Cancer Therapy

open access: yesFood Frontiers, Volume 7, Issue 1, January 2026.
Schematic overview illustrating the anticancer mechanisms of selected natural products (resveratrol, quercetin, berberine) targeting EGFR and HER2 signaling pathways in tumor cells. These compounds inhibit receptor activation and downstream oncogenic cascades, including PI3K/Akt/mTOR, MAPK/ERK, and STAT3 pathways.

A Comprehensive Multiomics Approach Illuminates the Biosynthetic Mechanism of Scoparone in Artemisia capillaris

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, Volume 24, Issue 1, Page 346-360, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Artemisia capillaris, a traditional Chinese medicinal plant, has displayed favourable effects in the treatment of jaundice, inflammation of the liver and cholecystitis for thousands of years. However, the biosynthesis of scoparone, the major active component in A. capillaris, remains unclear.

Salidroside attenuates neuronal ferroptosis by activating the Nrf2/HO1 signaling pathway in Aβ1-42-induced Alzheimer’s disease mice and glutamate-injured HT22 cells

open access: yesChinese Medicine, 2022
Background Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is a neurodegenerative disease. Ferroptosis plays a critical role in neurodegenerative diseases. Nuclear factor E2-related factor 2 (Nrf2) is considered an important factor in ferroptosis.

Molecular identification for epigallocatechin-3-gallate-mediated antioxidant intervention on the H2O2-induced oxidative stress in H9c2 rat cardiomyoblasts [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) has been documented for its beneficial effects protecting oxidative stress to cardiac cells. Previously, we have shown the EGCG-mediated cardiac protection by attenuating reactive oxygen species and cytosolic Ca2+ in ...

Dietary Copper Intake and Biological Aging Among US Adults, NHANES 2003–2018

open access: yesAging Cell, Volume 24, Issue 12, December 2025.
In a nationally representative US cohort, greater copper intake correlated with reduced biological aging, but the effect plateaued at higher intakes. The Dietary Inflammatory Index mediated this association, suggesting anti‐inflammatory dietary patterns underlie copper's benefits.
