Endophthalmitis due to Salmonella enteritidis
The Journal of Pediatrics, 1979The clinical characteristic serving as the first clue to the etiologic diagnosis was the lack of response to the various antibiotic regimens utilized. The diagnosis of Mycoplasma gneumoniae infection in these children was made on the basis of elevated mycoplasma complement fixation titers, exclusion of other known respiratory pathogens, and on ...

Control of Salmonella enteritidis in Sweden
International Journal of Food Microbiology, 1995The Swedish control of Salmonella, with special reference to Salmonella enteritidis, in poultry is described. The control is directed at all serotypes of Salmonella and imported grandparent chickens are controlled, which is considered to be the main reason why Sweden so far is not found to be involved in the worldwide spread of different phagetypes of ...

Salmonella Enteritidis: the egg and I
Australian Veterinary Journal, 1995SUMMARY:The world‐wide clinical incidence of Salmonella Enteritidis has increased markedly. Necrotizing Fasciitis Caused by Salmonella enteritidis
Archives Of Physiology And Biochemistry, 1984A 76-yr-old man developed necrotizing fasciitis due to Salmonella enteritidis 1 month after an episode of gastroenteritis due to the same microorganism. The fact that S. enteritidis was the only organism isolated despite adequate anaerobic cultures confirm the ability of salmonellae to produce severe monomicrobial soft tissue infections.
