Activo Liquid and Halquinol inhibit Salmonella and Escherichia coli in culture media. Activo Liquid exhibits bactericidal action, whereas HA is bacteriostatic, and their combination results in positive or indifferent interactions. This combination effectively inhibits E. coli throughout digestion simulation, thus reducing the required concentrations of

Guava leaf essential oil (GL‐EO) and Oliveria decumbens essential oil (Od‐EO) improved the microbial and oxidative stability of refrigerated ground beef and helped extend its shelf life. GL‐EO better preserved odor and color, while the combined GL‐EO + Od‐EO treatment provided the best texture preservation and highest overall acceptability.

Chemical Profile and Antibacterial Activity of Cymbopogon Citratus Leaf Essential Oil
The essential oil of Cymbopogon citratus was chemically characterized by GC–MS and evaluated for antibacterial activity against clinically relevant Gram‐positive and Gram‐negative bacteria. Citral isomers (geranial and neral) were identified as the major constituents, and the oil exhibited selective bactericidal and bacteriostatic effects, supporting ...

Phage Therapy as an Approach to Control Salmonella enterica serotype Enteritidis Infection in Mice
INTRODUCTION: Salmonella enterica serotype Enteritidis (S. Enteritidis) is a cause of food-borne human illness. Given the prevalence of antibiotic resistance of Salmonella Enteritidis and the lack of antibiotic efficacy in future years, its replacement ...
