AI–Guided 4D Printing of Carnivorous Plants–Inspired Microneedles for Accelerated Wound Healing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This work presents an artificial intelligence (AI)‐guided 4D‐printed microneedle platform inspired by carnivorous plants for wound healing. A thermo‐responsive shape memory polymer enables body temperature–triggered self‐coiling for autonomous wound closure.

State sanctions policy: Historical and legal review

open access: yesRUDN Journal of Law
The sanctions practice of modern states is introducing increasingly sophisticated methods of political, economic, trade, organizational and legal restrictions, which constitute an institutional strategy of multi-vector impact on the "target state".

Galinstan Liquid Metal/Polyurethane Composite as a Multifunctional Stretchable Electrode and Piezoresistive Strain Sensor With Minimal Drift

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Liquid metal additives are processed in elastomer host resulting in highly conductive and stretchable composites. The material functions as a piezoresistive sensor with minimal drift, low stiffness, and enhanced operating range. The film can replace wires to charge a mobile phone at ∼350% strain and monitors bodily motion in real‐time via a portable ...

Auditory–Tactile Congruence for Synthesis of Adaptive Pain Expressions in RoboPatients

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
In this work, we explore auditory–tactile congruence for synthesizing adaptive vocal pain expressions in robopatients. Using a robopatient platform that integrates vocal pain sounds with palpation forces, we conducted 7680 trials across 20 participants.

Sanctions that Signal: an Experiment. [PDF]

open access: yes
Sanctions are a means to provide incentives towards more pro-social behavior. Yet their implementation can be a signal that past behavior was undesirable. We investigate experimentally the importance of the informational content of the choice to sanction.

A State‐Adaptive Koopman Control Framework for Real‐Time Deformable Tool Manipulation in Robotic Environmental Swabbing

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This work presents a state‐adaptive Koopman linear quadratic regulator framework for real‐time manipulation of a deformable swab tool in robotic environmental sampling. By combining Koopman linearization, tactile sensing, and centroid‐based force regulation, the system maintains stable contact forces and high coverage across flat and inclined surfaces.

ChicGrasp: Imitation‐Learning‐Based Customized Dual‐Jaw Gripper Control for Manipulation of Delicate, Irregular Bio‐Products

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Automated poultry processing lines still rely on humans to lift slippery, easily bruised carcasses onto a shackle conveyor. Deformability, anatomical variance, and hygiene rules make conventional suction and scripted motions unreliable. We present ChicGrasp, an end‐to‐end hardware‐software co‐designed imitation learning framework, to offer a ...
