Proteomic and Transcriptomic Signatures of Poor Asthma Symptom Control in the U‐BIOPRED Cohort
Allergy, EarlyView. No stable features were identified as associated with asthma symptom control in transcriptomics or sputum proteomics. Higher TWEAKR/TNFRSF12A and MBL/MBP‐C serum levels increased the odds of uncontrolled symptoms, while higher MK08/MAPK8 and CD5L serum levels decreased the odds, after adjustment for clinical variables.Joana Antão, Guilherme Rodrigues, Nazanin Zounemat‐Kermani, Paolo Montuschi, Qichen Deng, Frits M. Andrology, EarlyView.ABSTRACT Background
Asthenozoospermia is a significant contributing factor to male infertility. Accumulating evidence indicates that impaired sperm motility is closely linked to dysregulated microRNA expression during spermatogenesis. Seminal plasma exosomes are enriched with diverse microRNAs, which play pivotal roles in modulating sperm motility, the Zhi‐Jian Zhu, Meng‐Li Cui, Wen‐Jing Yuan, Jia‐Ning Zhang, Shuo Zhang, Xi‐Qiao Yao, Ruo‐Qing Li, Jin‐Feng Li, En‐Zhong Li +8 morewiley +1 more sourceCharacterisation of new HIV diagnoses achieved in emergency departments using an opt-in strategy, Catalonia, Spain, July 2021 to March 2024. Brain Pathology, EarlyView.Optic nerve sheath meningiomas are typically NF2‐intact with few copy number alterations and are generally clinically indolent. Rare aggressive recurrences are associated with progressive accumulation of copy number variations, including CDKN2A/B homozygous deletion, 1q gain, and 14q loss.Daisuke Sato, Satoru Miyawaki, Yu Sakai, Kenta Ohara, Yu Teranishi, Yudai Hirano, Motoyuki Umekawa, Takahiro Tsuchiya, Shotaro Ogawa, So Hirata, Hiroki Hongo, Hideaki Ono, Daisuke Komura, Tetsuo Ushiku, Shumpei Ishikawa, Nobuhito Saito +15 morewiley +1 more sourcePrognostic Factors of Late-onset Hearing Loss in Infants With Congenital Cytomegalovirus and Normal Audiologic Assessment at Birth. Brain Pathology, EarlyView.TMEM106B C‐terminal fragment (CTF) aggregation represents an age‐associated, common, diffuse phenomenon emerging after midlife with a weak association with TDP‐43 or tau pathology. These findings suggest that TMEM106B fibrillization may define a distinct axis of protein aggregation in the aging human brain. Abstract
