Integrative Zoology, EarlyView.Between 2020 and 2023, 20 loggerhead sea turtles (Caretta caretta) were rehabilitated at a Mediterranean center, with estimated target gross energy provision of 11.1–22.2 kcal/kg body weight/day (squid only) and 18.1–36.2 (mixed regimen), energy actually consumed falling within these ranges, and 90% released.
