Series magnetic coupled reactor saturation considerations for high voltage AC and DC power systems

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrical Power & Energy Systems
The rapid increase of integrated distributed generators results in higher fault currents in the future modern grids. A remedy for the concern is employing series reactors as fault current limiters.

Research on the influence of pulse current parameters on the tooth filling during current-assisted splitting spinning of small module tooth-shaped part [PDF]

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences
Current parameters are the main factors influencing the tooth filling of small module tooth-shaped parts (SMTSPs) with characteristics of hollow, thin wall-thickness made of difficult-to-deform metal during current-assisted splitting spinning (CASS).

Electrochemical Evaluation of Compressed Selective Laser Melted AlSi7Mg and AlSi10Mg Alloys in Chloride Environment

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The corrosion performance of AlSi7Mg and AlSi10Mg alloys produced through selective laser melting (SLM) was examined under compressive stress in a chloride environment. Electrochemical analyses, including open‐circuit potential (OCP), potentiodynamic polarization (CPP), and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), were complemented by scanning ...

Microstructural Evolution and Vacancy Defect Formation in Mn–Mo–Ni RPV Steel Under Low Cycle Fatigue: Insights From EBSD and PALS

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Low‐cycle fatigue damage in Mn–Mo–Ni reactor pressure vessel steel is examined using a combined electron backscatter diffraction and positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy approach. The study correlates texture evolution, dislocation substructure development, and vacancy‐type defect formation across uniform, necked, and fracture regions, providing

Current Saturation in Nonmetallic Field Emitters

open access: yes, 2017
It has been known for a long time that traditional semiconductor (e.g. intrinsic and doped Si and Ge or binary SiC and GaN) field emitters significantly deviate from Fowler-Nordheim (FN) law and saturate when a large current, on the order of microamperes or more, is attempted to be drawn from them.

Saturation-Informed Current-Limiting Control for Grid-Forming Converters

open access: yes
In this paper, we investigate the transient stability of a state-of-the-art grid-forming complex-droop control (i.e., dispatchable virtual oscillator control, dVOC) under current saturation.

Composition‐Tuned Enhancement of the Anomalous Nernst Effect in FeCo–Pt Thin Films on Rigid and Flexible Substrates

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Disordered (Fe50Co50)1−xPtx thin films exhibit a pronounced anomalous Nernst effect (ANE) with a strong composition dependence on both rigid and flexible substrates. The transverse thermoelectric response peaks near 22.5 at.% Pt, accompanied by enhanced αxy/σxy scaling, thermal transport, and ANE sensitivity.

Model of the drain current saturation in long-gate JFETs and MESFETs

open access: yes, 2005
A model of the drain current in the long-gate JFET and MESFET is proposed in which the electron velocity saturation is not mandatory-requirement for the drain current saturation.

Field Report from Collaborative Research Center 1625: Heterogeneous Research Data Management Using Ontology Representations

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A unified research data management framework for heterogeneous materials data is presented. The system integrates multimodal datasets using ontologies and knowledge graphs, enabling interoperability and FAIR (findable, accessible, interoperable, reusable) data principles. By linking data across scales and workflows, it supports reproducible, Artifitial
