Randers Metrics of Constant Scalar Curvature
.Randers metrics are a special class of Finsler metrics. Every Randers metric can be expressed in terms of a Riemannian metric and a vector field via Zermelo navigation.

Optimizing photoactivation of PA‐mCherry for optical pooled CRISPR screens
Photoactivatable PA‐mCherry finds widespread use to optically tag individual cells. However, confocal 405 nm UV laser‐scanning (normal scan) is much less efficient than widefield UV illumination, limiting the use of PA‐mCherry on confocal instruments. We remedy this limitation by reporting that rapid and repeated confocal scanning with a low‐intensity,

The dFoCC pipeline starts with observed DED and resting‐state coordinates, which are then used to generate a library of triggered states. Correlation analysis of the calculated DED features of each candidate vs observed DED permits quantitative evaluation of candidate structural quality.

Totally real submanifolds of the nearly kaehler 6-sphere [PDF]
Totally real 3-dimensiunal submanifolds of the nearly Kaehler 6-sphere are the main topic of this thesis. Having introduced preliminaries on the theory of complex and almost complex manifolds, the nearly Kaehler structure of S(^6) and the non existence ...

Topological Rigidity and Positive scalar curvature
In this paper, we study the topological rigidity and its relationship with the positivity of scalar curvature. Precisely, we show that any complete contractible $3$-manifold with non-negative scalar curvature is homeomorphic to $\mathbf{R}^3$.Comment ...

Pharmacological inhibition of PERK in a DEN‐induced mouse model of liver cancer does not reduce tumor burden but alters cellular stress signaling. Despite blocking PERK activity, downstream stress responses, including CHOP expression, remain active, suggesting compensatory mechanisms within the unfolded protein response that may influence tumor ...

Enlargeability, foliations, and positive scalar curvature
We extend the deep and important results of Lichnerowicz, Connes, and Gromov-Lawson which relate geometry and characteristic numbers to the existence and non-existence of metrics of positive scalar curvature.

Einstein like -para Sasakian manifolds
Einstein like -para Sasakian manifolds are introduced. For an -para Sasakian manifold to be Einstein like, a necessary and sufficient condition in terms of its curvature tensor is obtained.

Early‐life exposure to a high‐fat diet altered intact Achilles tendons in rat offspring, making them thinner, stiffer, and molecularly distinct even without injury. These findings suggest that developmental high‐fat diet exposure may impair tendon quality and increase susceptibility to mechanical overload or tendon injury later in life.

Abruptly changing from aerobic to anaerobic conditions (sudden anaerobization) induced growth inhibition and a significant increase in intracellular labile ferrous iron in the aerotolerant anaerobe Amphibacillus xylanus. We found that free flavins mediate efficient electron transfer from NADH to ferric iron under anaerobic conditions, suggesting that ...
