Correlation of the differential expression of PIK3R1 and its spliced variant, p55α, in pan‐cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PIK3R1 undergoes alternative splicing to generate the isoforms, p85α and p55α. By combining large patient datasets with laboratory experiments, we show that PIK3R1 spliced variants shape cancer behavior. While tumors lose the protective p85α isoform, p55α is overexpressed, changes linked to poorer survival and more pronounced in African American ...

Evolution of non-flat cosmos via GGPDE f(R) model

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2020
This paper is devoted to explore the cosmic evolution of non-flat Friedmann Robertson Walker universe through generalized ghost pilgrim dark energy model in the background of f(R) gravity. For this purpose, we consider two well known scale factors, i.e.,

Modelling background charge rearrangements near single-electron transistors as a Poisson process

open access: yes, 2000
Background charge rearrangements in metallic single-electron transistors are modelled in two-level tunnelling systems as a Poisson process with a scale parameter as only variable.

Basroparib inhibits YAP‐driven cancers by stabilizing angiomotin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Basroparib, a selective tankyrase inhibitor, suppresses Wnt signaling and attenuates YAP‐driven oncogenic programs by stabilizing angiomotin. It promotes AMOT–YAP complex formation, enforces cytoplasmic YAP sequestration, inhibits YAP/TEAD transcription, and sensitizes YAP‐active cancers, including KRAS‐mutant colorectal cancer, to MEK inhibition.

Flight Trajectory Simulation and Aerodynamic Parameter Identification of Large-Scale Parachute

open access: yesInternational Journal of Aerospace Engineering, 2020
In this paper, the multibody parachute-payload system is simplified and analyzed. A six-degree-of-freedom rigid body flight dynamic model is established to calculate the flight trajectory, attitude, velocity, and drop point of the parachute-payload ...

Global‐scale regionalization of hydrologic model parameters

open access: yesWater Resources Research, 2016
AbstractCurrent state‐of‐the‐art models typically applied at continental to global scales (hereafter called macroscale) tend to use a priori parameters, resulting in suboptimal streamflow (Q) simulation. For the first time, a scheme for regionalization of model parameters at the global scale was developed.

RaMBat: Accurate identification of medulloblastoma subtypes from diverse data sources with severe batch effects

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
To integrate multiple transcriptomics data with severe batch effects for identifying MB subtypes, we developed a novel and accurate computational method named RaMBat, which leveraged subtype‐specific gene expression ranking information instead of absolute gene expression levels to address batch effects of diverse data sources.

ESTIMATION OF SCALE PARAMETER UNDER A REFLECTED GAMMA LOSS FUNCTION [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Sciences, Islamic Republic of Iran, 1999
In this paper, the estimation of a scale parameter t under a new and bounded loss function, based on a reflection of the gamma density function, is discussed.

Colorectal cancer‐derived FGF19 is a metabolically active serum biomarker that exerts enteroendocrine effects on mouse liver

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Meta‐transcriptome analysis identified FGF19 as a peptide enteroendocrine hormone associated with colorectal cancer prognosis. In vivo xenograft models showed release of FGF19 into the blood at levels that correlated with tumor volumes. Tumoral‐FGF19 altered murine liver metabolism through FGFR4, thereby reducing bile acid synthesis and increasing ...
