Combining Electrochemical Scanning Tunneling Microscopy with Force Microscopy
All electrochemical and electrocatalytic processes occur at the boundary between an electrode and an electrolyte. Progress in the field of electrochemistry requires a detailed microscopic understanding of these complex solid-liquid interfaces, making this a captivating field for in situ surface-sensitive microscopic techniques, such as scanning probe ...

A numerical model resulting from irreversible thermodynamics for describing transport processes is introduced, focusing on thermodynamic activity gradients as the actual driving force for diffusion. Implemented in CUDA C++ and using CalPhaD methods for determining the necessary activity data, the model accurately simulates interdiffusion in aluminum ...

Zein‐Based Adhesives: Sustainable Extraction and Application in Bioadhesive Technologies
Zein is extracted from corn gluten meal using a simple and scalable process with high yield (~90%). The resulting protein is applied in bioadhesives modified with Ca2+ and Fe3+ ions, exhibiting substrate‐dependent adhesion. The findings demonstrate competitive bonding performance and highlight the role of ionic interactions in tuning adhesion ...
