Free Radical Scavenging and Cytotoxic Activities of Substituted Pyrimidines [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2020
A library of substituted pyrimidines was synthesized and evaluated for free radical scavenging, and in vitro cytotoxic activity in 3T3 cells. All compounds showed good free radical scavenging activity with IC50 values in the range of 42.9 + 0.31 to 438.3 3.3 {\mu}M as compared to the standard butylated hydroxytoluene having IC50 value of 128.83 2.

The Chemical Nature of Individual Size-resolved Raindrops and Their Residual Particles Collected during High Atmospheric Loading for PM2.5

open access: yesAsian Journal of Atmospheric Environment, 2017
Although it is well known that rain plays an important role in capturing air pollutants, its quantitative evaluation has not been done enough. In this study, the effect of raindrop size on pollutant scavenging was investigated by clarifying the chemical ...

Increasing the Efficiency of Energy Scavengers [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2007
In this paper, a methodology for designing efficient energy scavengers is proposed. The scavenger consists of a cantilever beam on which piezoelectric films and a mass are mounted. The mass at the tip of the beam is known as the proof mass and the device is called either an energy scavenger or a beam-mass system.

Benzophenone Semicarbazones as Potential alpha-glucosidase and Prolyl Endopeptidase Inhibitor: In-vitro free radical scavenging, enzyme inhibition, mechanistic, and molecular docking studies [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2023
$\alpha$-glucosidase and prolylendopeptidase has altered expression and activity patterns in neurological disease, type 2diabetes respectively and several cancers. Here we screened a series 1-29 benzophenone semicarbazone derivatives for in vitro free radical scavenging, alpha-glucosidase and prolylendopeptidase inhibition activities. Seven derivatives
