Schiff Base Complexes in Macromolecules

Journal of Inorganic and Organometallic Polymers and Materials, 2007
Schiff base metal complexes are a class of compounds that have been studied extensively because of their attractive chemical and physical properties, and their wide-ranging applications in numerous scientific areas. Researchers have incorporated Schiff base complexes into polymers, generating new materials with useful mechanical, thermal, chemical, and

Schiff base complexes that form sandwich compounds

Journal of Molecular Modeling, 2018
In this article, we explore the capacity of formed Schiff base complexes to trap metal atoms or ions, using their aromatic ends. The intrinsic geometry of each complex defines the process of substitution. Two cases were studied; one involving a trans Schiff base complex and the other considering how a salen ligand, with nickel systems traps chromium ...

Schiff-base complexes of ruthenium(II)

Journal of the Chemical Society, Dalton Transactions, 1978
The interaction of dichlorotris(triphenylphosphine)ruthenium(II) with the sodium salts of various Schiff bases leads to complexes of the type trans-RuL(PPh3)2 for the quadridentate bifunctional ligands and RuL2(PPh3)2 for the bifunctional ligands.Interaction of the chloro-carbonyls, {Ru(CO)2Cl2}n or {Ru(CO)3Cl2}3, with the sodium salt of NN ...

Tetradentate Schiff Base Copper(II) Complexes

Synthesis and Reactivity in Inorganic and Metal-Organic Chemistry, 1999
Abstract Ten copper(II) complexes of tetradentate Schiff bases obtained by condensing two moles of an o-hydroxyphenylcarbonyl compound with a diamine have been prepared and characterized by elemental analyses, melting points, IR and electronic spectra. The IR and electronic spectra of the free ligand and the complexes are compared and discussed.

A Uranium-Based Isothiosemicarbazone Schiff Base Complex

2016
A uranium(VI) complex UO2(L-Sal)EtOH has been synthesized by template reaction of 2-hydroxyacetophenone S-pentyl isothiosemicarbazone .hydrogen bromide (H2L), and salicylaldehyde (Sal) in the presence of uranium acetate salt. The complex was characterized by elemental analyses, IR, mass, UV–Vis, and X-ray diffraction methods.
