Constructing Node-Disjoint Routes in K-Ary N-Cubes

open access: yesSultan Qaboos University Journal for Science, 1997
In this paper, a method for constructing node-disjoint (parallel) paths in k-ary n-cube interconnection networks is described. We start by showing in general how to construct parallel paths in any Cartesian product of two graphs based on known paths in ...

Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Distributed Simulation of Open Cyclic Queuing Networks

open access: yesSultan Qaboos University Journal for Science, 1997
In this paper we present the results of an experimental performance study of distributed simulation of open cyclic queuing networks using a minor variation of the deadlock detection and recovery based algorithm of Chandy and Misra. One major part of this

Exploiting metabolic adaptations to overcome dabrafenib treatment resistance in melanoma cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We show that dabrafenib‐resistant melanoma cells undergo mitochondrial remodeling, leading to elevated respiration and ROS production balanced by stronger antioxidant defenses. This altered redox state promotes survival despite mitochondrial damage but renders resistant cells highly vulnerable to ROS‐inducing compounds such as PEITC, highlighting redox

On the Excitation of Instability Waves in Plane Poisuille Flow by a Concentrated Source at the Wall

open access: yesSultan Qaboos University Journal for Science, 1999
The paper addresses the excitation of instability waves in plane Poiseuille flow by means of a concentrated source at the wall. The aim of this paper is to investigate the relation between the source amplitude and the excited wave amplitude for  various ...

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.
