Traces, extensions, co-normal derivatives and solution regularity of elliptic systems with smooth and non-smooth coefficients [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
For functions from a Sobolev space, definitions of non-unique generalised and unique canonical co-normal derivative are considered, which are related to possible extensions of a partial differential operator and its right hand side from the domain ...

Coating Artificial Spider Silk Fiber with Magnetic FeCo: An Effective Strategy for Creating a Flexible Magneto‐Responsive Material

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An original method is presented for producing artificial spider silk fibers with magnetic and magnetomechanical responsiveness, which consists in coating them with a nanometer‐thick layer of FeCo alloy by sputtering deposition. The challenge of combining organic materials and inorganic magnetic nanostructures is addressed, thus taking a step forward ...

SE in Spanish

open access: yesBorealis: An International Journal of Hispanic Linguistics, 2021
This article provides an overview of Spanish SE, covering the main empirical facts, analyses and theoretical issues that it raises, and exploring the prospects to unify all uses –which are over a dozen in the literature– under one same object that keeps ...

Electronic Structure Reorganization in MPS3 via d‐Shell‐Selective Alkali Metal Doping

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Alkali metal doping of layered MPS3 antiferromagnets reveals d‐shell‐selective responses. While MnPS3 resists charge transfer due to its half‐filled 3d5 shell, FePS3 and NiPS3 behave similarly to CoPS3 by accommodating extra d‐electrons. Yet only CoPS3, with its least stable d‐shell, undergoes pronounced band restructuring and a semiconducting‐to ...

Targeting Peptostreptococcus anaerobius with an Iron‐Based Nanozyme Reverses Ferroptosis Resistance and Enhances Antitumor Immunity in Colorectal Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An iron‐based nanozyme selectively eliminates intratumoral P. anaerobius while catalytically generating ROS to induce ferroptosis, synergistically suppressing colorectal cancer growth and activating anti‐tumor immunity through immunogenic cell death. ABSTRACT The intratumoral microbiota is a critical determinant of therapeutic outcomes in colorectal ...

First record of Croton rottlerifolius Baill. (Euphorbiaceae) in Pernambuco state, Brazil—a warning for the protection of threatened Brejos de Altitude of the Caatinga domain [PDF]

open access: yesCheck List
The occurrence of Croton rottlerifolius Baill. in the state of Pernambuco, Brazil, is recorded here for the first time. Individuals of this species were collected in the municipality of Triunfo in a Brejo de Altitude, a type of humid forest found in some

Mitochondria and Neuromast Tagging With Fluorescent Gallium‐Triapine Analogues: In Cellulo MP FLIM and Zebrafish Live Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Fluorescent BODIPY‐conjugated thiosemicarbazone ligands and their Ga(III), In(III), and Fe(III) complexes, inspired by Triapine, are developed as theranostic agents. Multiphoton FLIM and confocal microscopy in cancer cells and zebrafish reveal real‐time uptake, mitochondrial localisation, and whilst spectroscopic assays indicated preserved complex ...

Microglia‐Targeted Biomimetic Tetrahedral Framework Nucleic Acid Nanovesicles for Synergistic Treatment of Sepsis‐Associated Encephalopathy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Sepsis‐associated encephalopathy (SAE) lacks effective therapies. We developed ME@FDsi, a biomimetic nanodrug using a tetrahedral framework nucleic acid to deliver disulfiram and siTNFα. It crosses the blood‐brain barrier, targets M1 microglia, inhibits pyroptosis and inflammation, and scavenges ROS.
