Effects of dietary Clostridium butyricum on the growth performance, digestion, and intestinal health of spotted sea bass (Lateolabrax maculatus)

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology, 2023
Clostridium butyricum (CB) is known to promote growth, enhance immunity, promote digestion, and improve intestinal health. In this study, we investigated the effects of CB in the feed on growth performance, digestion, and intestinal health of juvenile ...

Population dynamics of sea bass and young sea bass

open access: yesDiscrete and Continuous Dynamical Systems - B, 2004
This paper considers population dynamics of sea bass and young sea bass which are modeled by stage-structured delay-differential equations. It is shown that time delay can stabilize the dynamics. That is, as time delay increases, system becomes periodic and stable even if system without time delay is chaotic.

Analysis of the Bioprotective Potential of Different Lactic Acid Bacteria Against Listeria monocytogenes in Cold-Smoked Sea Bass, a New Product Packaged Under Vacuum and Stored at 6 ± 2°C

open access: yesFrontiers in Microbiology, 2021
The aim of the work was to monitor the presence of Listeria monocytogenes in cold-smoked fish products (trout, salmon, and sea bass) marketed in Italy. Cold-smoked sea bass is a new product that has not yet been commercialized and was collected from the ...

Effect of Cryopreservation on Sea Bass Sperm Proteins [PDF]

open access: yesBiology of Reproduction, 2005
In the present study we used two-dimensional polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (2-DE) and matrix-associated laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight (MALDI-TOF) mass spectrometry to verify whether the protein expression of sea bass sperm was affected by the cryopreservation procedure.

A SEA BASS on the Exoplanet HD 209458b [PDF]

open access: yesThe Astronomical Journal, 2018
Abstract We present here the first application of Stellar and Exoplanetary Atmospheres Bayesian Analysis Simultaneous Spectroscopy (SEA BASS) on real data sets. SEA BASS is a scheme that enables the simultaneous derivation of four-coefficient stellar limb-darkening profiles, transit depths, and orbital parameters from exoplanetary ...

Feeding ecology of 0-group sea bass Dicentrarchus labrax in salt marshes of Mont Saint-Michel bay (France) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
0-group sea bass, Dicentrarchus labrax, colonize intertidal marsh creeks of Mont Saint Michel Bay, France, on spring tides (e.g., 43% of the tides) during flood and return to coastal waters during ebb.
