The impact of temperature on the water quality of the Baltic Sea
The Baltic Sea is one of the most sensitive seas in the world, characterized by limited water exchange, a relatively shallow average depth, and high nutrient loads brought by rivers. Due to these features, it is particularly vulnerable to both local pollution and the impacts of global climate change.

Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Distribution and Air-Sea Exchange Flux of CO2 over the Marginal Seas surrounding Taiwan during Late Spring through Early Summer, 2008 [PDF]
[[abstract]]The distribution of CO2 in the surface water and the sea-air flux exchange in the sea areas around Taiwan are investigated in this study, and to discuss the reason of variation and the relationship with the distribution of water mass ...

Hypotheses on the age and possible antiquity of the modern deep-sea fauna put forward to date almost all agree on the assumption that the deep-sea fauna is largely the result of colonisation from shallow-water environments. Here, the fossil record of the

Targeted therapy was evaluated in SHH medulloblastoma using neuroepithelial stem cell (NES) and tumor‐derived NES‐like (tNES) models in 2D monolayers and 3D spheroids. PI3K, AKT, and CDK4/6 inhibitors had minimal effects in NES but markedly reduced viability and growth and induced apoptosis in tNES cells, revealing distinct therapeutic vulnerabilities.

Current state of juvenile roach (Rutilus rutilus caspicus) [PDF]
Fluctuations in water temperature in the Northern Caspian Sea, especially in the shallow zone, are mainly due to fluctuations in air temperature and during the trawling period, in the fall, the water temperature at observation stations showed a decrease ...
