Inductive localization accuracy of a passive 3-D coil in an Industry 4.0 environment [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Sensors and Sensor Systems, 2019
In this paper a localization system of a passive 3-D coil is proposed and signal uncertainties due to the 3-D coil's arbitrary orientation are analyzed. The 3-D coil is excited by an alternating primary magnetic field.

Demagnetization Detection in PMSMs Using Search Coils Exploiting Machine’s Symmetry

open access: yes2021 IEEE Energy Conversion Congress and Exposition (ECCE), 2021
Magnet demagnetization in permanent magnet synchronous machines (PMSMs) can produce inadmissible performance degradation. Search coils (SCs) have been proven to be a viable option for its detection. Limitations of existing methods using SCs include the low sensitivity and the need of a large number of SCs.

Crystal structure of Hop2-Mnd1 and mechanistic insights into its role in meiotic recombination [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
In meiotic DNA recombination, the Hop2-Mnd1 complex promotes Dmc1-mediated single-stranded DNA (ssDNA) invasion into homologous chromosomes to form a synaptic complex by a yet-unclear mechanism.

Routine phasing of coiled-coil protein crystal structures with AMPLE

open access: yesIUCrJ, 2015
Coiled-coil protein folds are among the most abundant in nature. These folds consist of long wound α-helices and are architecturally simple, but paradoxically their crystallographic structures are notoriously difficult to solve with molecular-replacement

Construction of Differential Type Search Coil Magnetometer

open access: yesJournal of the Korean Magnetics Society, 2010
Search coil magnetometer has been used for detection of ac magnetic field with high sensitivity. To reduce demagnetizing factor of core and increase S/N ratio of search coil magnetometer, the core was divided by two parts and coil was wound on each cores. Two coils were connected serially and put into amplifier as differential mode.

Structural Data Recognition with Graph Model Boosting [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
This paper presents a novel method for structural data recognition using a large number of graph models. In general, prevalent methods for structural data recognition have two shortcomings: 1) Only a single model is used to capture structural variation ...
