Proteostasis and the gut microbiota play a key role in shaping host physiology. Microbiota‐derived metabolites, vitamins, and RNA modulate host proteostasis. Findings from model systems, including C. elegans, indicate microbes can either stabilize or disrupt host proteostasis.

Phosphoinositides and inositol phosphates as molecular glues
Inositol phosphates (IPs) and phosphoinositides (PIPs) regulate diverse eukaryotic processes. Beyond recruiting signaling proteins or acting as structural cofactors, recent studies suggest they mediate protein–protein interactions as natural molecular glues.

Inositol pyrophosphates are energy‐rich signaling molecules that perform critical functions in cells. Three different families of phosphatases hydrolyze the β phosphate of the inositol pyrophosphate molecules: two have narrow specificities and one is promiscuous.

Balance maintenance in normal seated reach.
Seated reach capability is limited by the strength, range of motion, and balance capabilities of the individual. In forward reaches people are able to maintain balance by generating forces and torques at their hips, supporting themselves over their legs.

Association between seated postural control and gait speed in knee osteoarthritis
The purpose of this study was to evaluate, in patients with knee osteoarthritis, whether seated postural control is a multivariate predictor of gait speed, after adjusting for the effects of conventional knee impairments.

Mild cognitive impairment (MCI) compromises executive control, yet brief exercise may yield acute cognitive benefits. We tested whether a single ~10 min bout of physical, cognitive, or combined physical-cognitive exercise modulates Stroop performance in ...

Design and analysis strategies for robust microbiome ageing research
The gut microbiome changes with age and associates with age‐related morbidity and mortality, establishing it as a potential biomarker and intervention target for ageing. Realising this potential requires methodological rigour, yet distinguishing biological signals from methodological artefacts remains challenging across cohorts. This review provides an

Modelling of heat and mass transfer processes in neonatology
This paper reviews some of our recent applications of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to model heat and mass transfer problems in neonatology and investigates the major heat and mass transfer mechanisms taking place in medical devices such as ...

The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.

The effects of attention capacity on dynamic balance control following concussion
The purpose of this study was to examine how individuals modulate attention in a gait/cognition dual task during a 4-week period following a concussion.
