Sebaceous carcinoma of scalp with proliferating trichilemmal cyst

open access: yes, 2012
Sebaceous carcinoma is a rare neoplasm of the sebaceous gland. It is diagnosed mainly on histopathology and, clinically, it may mimic other neoplasms like squamous or basal cell carcinoma. We came across a patient presenting with a non-healing ulcer over

Basal Cell Carcinoma Arising in Nevus Sebaceous during Childhood

open access: yes, 2008
Nevus sebaceous usually occurs as a solitary lesion located mostly on the scalp and the face. The potential for nevus sebaceous to develop malignancy is well recognized, though it is generally thought that this transformation occurs only postpubertally ...

Protein hydrolysates in cell culture: Toward multi‐omics characterization

open access: yesBiotechnology Progress, EarlyView.
While protein hydrolysates are widely used in cell culture applications, they remain undefined and variable products. Multi‐omic characterization evaluating composition and function can transition hydrolysates toward semi‐defined media components.

Sebaceous Carcinoma – Unexpected Tumor of the Nasal Ala Dorsum

open access: yesActa Medica Bulgarica, 2019
Today, the extraocular variant of sebaceous carcinoma is still being poorly recognized. This type of carcinoma is rarely diagnosed correctly, which, together with its aggressive behavior, contributes to its poor prognosis. We present a case of an 84-year-

Fluorogenic Sydnones for Bioorthogonal Labeling of DNA

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Conjugates of sydnones with cyanine‐styryl dyes combine bioorthogonal reactivity with fluorogenicity. The reactivity with bicyclo[6.1.0]non‐4‐yne (BCN)‐modified DNA showed second‐order rate constants of up to k2 = 2,300 M−1s−1 and fluorescence turn‐on by one magnitude of order.

The Synthesis Use of a Difluorinated Amino‐Benzo‐Cinnoline Dyes (ABCDyes) Enables Fine Tuning of Emission Through Double SNAr Late‐Stage Functionalization

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Organic Chemistry, EarlyView.
An efficient synthesis of difluorinated amino‐benzo‐cinnoline dyes (ABCDyes) is reported. Their use for the late‐stage introduction of internal dinucleophilic species through a double SNAr reaction enables straightforward access to previously unexplored ABCDye analogs displaying tunable emission ranging from green to red.

Sebaceous carcinoma of the lip.

open access: yes, 2013
Sebaceous carcinoma (SC) is an uncommon neoplasm. To date fewer than 400 cases have been reported in literature. Due to the low incidence and the not universally accepted histopathological classification, it presents diagnostic problems1.

Potentially actionable FGFR2 high-level amplification in thymic sebaceous carcinoma

open access: yes, 2020
Our aim was to investigate sebaceous differentiation in thymus tumours and to identify new actionable genomic alterations. To this end we screened 35 normal and 23 hyperplastic thymuses, 127 thymomas and 41 thymic carcinomas for the presence of sebaceous

Topical treatment of equine aural plaques with nitric acid and zinc solution

open access: yesEquine Veterinary Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Equine aural plaque caused by equine papilloma viruses is common worldwide and affected horses can show severe clinical signs. Due to its viral aetiology, in some countries affected horses are not allowed to compete. Since lesions persist, showing no spontaneous regression, effective and safe treatment is required.
