Integration of Spatiotemporal Multi‐Omics in Peach Fruit Unravels a Metabolic Niche and the Genetic Basis of Trichome‐Mediated Stress Adaptation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study constructed the first spatiotemporal multi‐omics map of peach fruit and discovered a key candidate gene that synergistically regulates trichome development and drought tolerance through the jasmonic acid signaling pathway, providing insights into the coupling mechanism between development and stress resistance.

Linear ectopic sebaceous hyperplasia of the penis: the last memory of Tyson's glands

open access: yes, 2018
Pathologists who find ectopic glands on the glans and/or on the prepuce, often describe them as Tyson's glands. In this regard, the term Tyson's glands can be replaced by two different descriptive expressions: papillomatosis corona penis and ectopic ...

An Activity‐Dependent NEPAS–PTX3 Axis Links Neurovascular and Myelin Deficits to Cognitive Impairment

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An activity‐dependent pathway links prefrontal circuit hypoactivity to cognitive impairment. Reduced PVA–mPFC activity upregulates NEPAS, which suppresses PTX3 secretion, leading to impaired angiogenesis, myelin deficits, and memory decline. Rescue is achieved by NEPAS knockdown or chemogenetic circuit activation.

Studies on the 5-3b-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase in the sebaceous glands of skin [PDF]

open access: yes, 1971
The purpose of research outlined in the course of this thesis was at the outset:- 1. To establish a precise microtechnique suitable for histochemical investigations of hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase (HSD) in the sebaceous gland of skin. 2.

A Bioinspired Three‐Dimensional High‐Curvature Nano‐Interface Integrated Microfluidic Chip for Small Extracellular Vesicles Enrichment and Machine Learning‐Assisted Prostate Cancer Precision Diagnosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A biotin‐modified artificial insertion peptide functionalized three‐dimensional high‐curvature‐TiO2 nano‐interface was engineered in a microfluidic chip to improve the isolation efficiency of small extracellular vesicles (sEVs). This chip balanced affinity, releasability, and extendibility, enabling high‐throughput recovery of sEVs for downstream ...

The Mechanism and Research Progress of Skin Microbiota in Pathogenesis of Acne

open access: yesDermatology Research and Practice
Acne is a chronic inflammatory skin disease of the sebaceous unit of the facial hair follicle that occurs mainly in adolescence. The four major pathogenesis of acne are excessive secretion of sebum by sebaceous glands, abnormal keratosis of sebaceous ...

Macroscopic and microscopic structure of the infraorbital sinus gland in Tuj Sheep

open access: yesRevista Científica
The infraorbital sinus  (infraorbital  gland-preorbital  gland) is located in the lateral aspect of the skull, rostroventral to the eye, within the infraorbital fossa. Some skin glands are differentiated and specialized.

A Circuit of Mechanically Regulated Transcription Factors Balances Regenerative and Fibrotic Memory of Mesenchymal Stromal Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Producing MSCs on rigid culture substrates induces a scar‐making phenotype, jeapordizing therapeutic success. ‘Tissue‐soft’ surfaces prevent MSC fibrogenesis and preserve regenerative traits. An epigenetic network, driven by HOXA11 and SALL1, maintains ‘soft memory’ by keeping chromatin open in relaxed MSCs, promoting anti‐fibrotic programs.

Immunohistochemical Demonstration of Immunoglobulin A in Human Sebaceous and Sweat Glands

open access: yes, 1989
Immunoglobulin A (IgA) mediated humoral defense mechanisms have been detected on all mucous membrane surfaces. There are only a few papers about the presence of IgA in human skin.

Dual‐Physical‐Field Nanocatalysis: Injectable Hydrogel Enables Piezo‐Photothermal Synergy for Breast Cancer Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Piezocatalytic therapy (PCT) harnesses mechanical energy to generate tumor‐lethal reactive oxygen species (ROS), but its efficacy is limited by rapid electron‐hole recombination and poor intratumoral retention. To overcome these limitations, we engineered heterostructured BiOCl@CuO nanosheets embedded in an injectable, conductive ...
