mRNA Therapeutics for Skin Rejuvenation: From Aging Atlases to Clinical Translation

open access: yesExperimental Dermatology, Volume 35, Issue 10, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Skin aging is a multifactorial process characterized by the progressive decline of tissue structure, function and regenerative capacity. Although numerous interventions have been developed to improve the clinical manifestations of aging, most primarily alleviate downstream consequences rather than directly targeting the molecular mechanisms ...

A serum and cream moisturization regimen outperforms separate use in sustaining hydration, reducing TEWL, and balancing surface lipids over an 8‐h study

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cosmetic Science, Volume 48, Issue 5, Page 1042-1054, October 2026.
Over 8 h, using a Hyaluronic Acid Serum in combination with a Moisturizing Cream sustained skin hydration more than either product alone, while lowering TEWL and normalizing surface lipids. Volunteers also reported a more immediate and long‐lasting moisturization with the combined regimen. Created in BioRender. Maldonado Lopez, A.

Application of Panax notoginseng Saponins in Skin Wound Repair: Mechanisms and Research Progress

open access: yesJournal of Cellular and Molecular Medicine, Volume 30, Issue 20, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Skin wound repair involves four stages: haemostasis, inflammation, proliferation and remodelling. Refractory wounds feature prolonged healing cycles, severe scar hyperplasia and limited clinical therapeutic strategies. Panax notoginseng saponins (PNS), primarily the ginsenosides Rg1 and Rb1 monomers, display high safety and multitarget ...

Immune Interactions Unique to Intradermal Microtoxin: Insights From Aesthetic, Therapeutic, and Vaccination Studies

open access: yesJournal of Cosmetic Dermatology, Volume 25, Issue 10, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Introduction Intradermal botulinum toxin type A (BoNT‐A; microtoxin) has been shown to improve skin texture, superficial rhytides, and sweat/sebaceous activity through neuronal (cholinergic) and non‐neuronal pathways. While discussions around immune system interactions for BoNT‐A in aesthetic indications exist for intramuscular injection, the ...

Enzymatic Bioremodelers: From Molecular Mechanisms to Clinical Applications in Aesthetic and Regenerative Medicine

open access: yesJournal of Cosmetic Dermatology, Volume 25, Issue 10, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Background The steady evolution of aesthetic and regenerative medicine has driven a paradigm shift from purely corrective interventions toward biologically oriented therapies focused on tissue remodeling, extracellular matrix modulation, and regenerative optimization.

Target Treatment Zones: A Zone‐Based Clinical Framework for Skin Quality Improvement Using Non–Cross‐Linked Hyaluronic Acid and Glycerol

open access: yesJournal of Cosmetic Dermatology, Volume 25, Issue 10, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Aesthetic medicine has progressively shifted from volume toward skin quality as a key determinant of perceived age and facial attractiveness. Although non–cross‐linked hyaluronic acid–based injectables are widely used to improve skin hydration and appearance, clinical application remains largely technique‐driven, and structured ...

A Sterile Folliculocentric Acneiform Eruption Mimicking Infection After Hair Transplantation: Clinical Pattern Recognition and a Proposed FUE Epidermal Cap–Angle Mechanism [PDF]

open access: yesJ Cosmet Dermatol
ABSTRACT Background Acneiform eruption following hair transplantation is frequently encountered in clinical practice but remains incompletely characterized. Because these pustular eruptions may resemble postoperative infection, they often lead to unnecessary antibiotic use.
