Secondary immunodeficiency as a consequence of chronic diseases.
Secondary immunodeficiencies (SID) represents heterogeneous group of acquired impairment of immune system function with diverse etiology. It is mostly a combined disorder of both humoral and cellular component of the innate and adaptive immune response ...

CDK4/6 inhibition promotes CD8+ T cell expansion through tumor‐macrophage crosstalk by activating HIF‐1α and enhancing MIF‐CD44/CD74 signaling. This reprograms TAMs to boost MHC‐I antigen presentation, and CDK4/6 inhibitor‐trained M1 TAM supernatant therapy synergizes with low‐dose PD‐1 blockade to restore antitumor immunity.

COVID-19 mortality in patients with immunodeficiency and its predictors: a systematic review
Introduction Patients with immunodeficiency are usually more prone to worse outcomes of infectious diseases. However, there are some disagreements in the context of COVID-19, for example, in patients with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).

Lung cancer remains the leading cause of cancer‐related death. We investigated the role of the epigenetic regulator DMAP1 in NSCLC and found that its loss induces replication stress and DNA damage. This in turn activates type I IFN signaling via the cGAS–STING pathway and transcriptional ISG de‐repression, enhancing anti‐tumor immune responses ...

The Advent Of Cytomegalovirus Infection In HIV Infected Patients: A review [PDF]
Cytomegalovirus is considered as one among the long list of latent infections in humans that although normally controlled by the cellular immune response, gets activated after HIV infection takes its role on infecting the T4 lymphocytes. Clinical disease

AUTACE is a bifunctional nanoplatform that integrates tumor targeting, immune engagement, and on‐demand KRAS degradation. It targets KRAS/TP53 co‐mutant tumors via TP53‐specific TCRs, elicits antitumor CD8+ T‐cell responses through surface anti‐CD3 antibodies, and uses low‐intensity focused ultrasound (LIFU) to trigger controlled release of the KRAS ...

In fibrotic distal lung regions, CD66c+ basal cells emerge as a pathological state. Using human distal lung organoids, this study identifies CD66c+ basal cells as a pro‐fibrotic state arising through transdifferentiation from secretory, AT2, and basal cells.

Advanced disease and CD8+ TEMRA cells predict severe infections in multiple myeloma
IntroductionInfections are a major cause of early morbidity and mortality in patients with multiple myeloma (MM) who are characterized by immunodeficiency secondary to disease.
