An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

Epigenetic blind spots – the role of DNA methylation dynamics in stem cell‐based models of embryogenesis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

Cognitive Radio Network With Energy-Harvesting Based on Primary and Secondary User Signals

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
Cognitive radio (CR) provides a radio-access method for unlicensed/secondary users to share the spectrum of licensed/primary users. To improve the energy efficiency of CR networks, we propose an energy-harvesting-aided spectrum sensing and data ...

The human gut microbiome across the life course

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.

Resource Joint Allocation Based on Energy Efficiency in Cognitive Collaboration Radio Network [PDF]

open access: yesJisuanji gongcheng, 2018
In the Cognitive Cooperative Radio Network(CCRN),when the secondary users blindly to participate in relay primary users, they will choose the primary users that is not conducive to energy efficiency of the system, thus reduces the overall energy efficiency

Secondary burrow users and indication for possible cache pilferage of Gerbillinae burrows [PDF]

open access: yesRoyal Society Open Science
Burrowing species are key in many ecosystems because they create niches for species that cannot dig their own shelters. These secondary users rely on existing burrows for protection, particularly in open ecosystems, such as deserts.

Septin 9 PB domains coordinate centrosome positioning and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Septin 9 polybasic domains couple phosphoinositide‐rich membrane binding to centrosome positioning, Golgi organization, and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity. Their loss disrupts this axis, causing centrosome mispositioning, Golgi fragmentation, reduced microtubule acetylation, and polarity inversion via upregulation of the ...

An Energy-Efficient Unselfish Spectrum Leasing Scheme for Cognitive Radio Networks

open access: yesSensors, 2020
Cooperative Communications in Cognitive Radio (CR) have been introduced as an essential and efficient technique to improve the transmission performance of primary users and offer transmission opportunities for secondary users.

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...
