Metabolism of aged seeds. Changes in rye embryo polyribosomes during seed aging
Germination, total dehydrogenase activity, ribosomal proteins and ribonucleic acids of embryos obtained from winter rye harvested in different years and of distinctly differing viability were studied. Diminishing viability was accompanied by declines in the amount of ribosome-bound mRNA and a drop in the intensity of its synthesis during germination ...

Dormant cancer cells can hide in distant organs for years, evading treatment and the immune system. This review highlights how signals from the surrounding tissue and immune environment keep these cells inactive or trigger their reawakening. Understanding these mechanisms may help develop therapies to eliminate or control dormant cells and prevent ...

This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

Effect of Seed Aging on Germination and Seedling Growth of Sunflower (Helianthus annuus) Cultivars
Seed quality is one of the most important factors affecting seed germination and seedling growth. In order to investigate the effects of seed aging on germination and seedling growth of sunflower cultivars, a factorial experiment was conducted based on a

Accelerated Aging in Tomato Seeds
The tomato plant (Lycopersicum esculentum L.) is a perennial, shrubby-like vegetable with high reproductive ability, which behaves like a typical annual crop. The aim of this work was to select suitable tests to assess the quality of different lots of tomato seeds.

Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.

Performance of Iranian Okra Ecotypes Under Various Accelerated Aging Conditions
Knowledge of seed quality and preservation of okra seeds is very limited, and the main purpose of this study was to simulate the condition of seed quality loss during storage and the physiological implications, which has led to seed vigor loss.

Impact of seed priming on germination performance of fresh and aged seeds of Canola
Priming fresh and naturally aged canola seeds with different substances and observing the seed germination properties are involved in this work. Fresh seeds and aged seeds of canola cv. “süzer” were treated with distilled water, -0.8 MPa polyethylene glycol (PEG) 6000 and 50 mM thiamine for 8 hours.

Antelope Bitterbrush Seed Production and Stand Age [PDF]
Antelope bitterbrush (Purshia tridentata (Pursh) DC) is the most important browse species on many western mule deer (Odocoileus hemionus) ranges. Lack of antelope bitterbrush seedling recruitment is a critical problem, and therefore, the influence of livestock grazing on antelope bitterbrush seed production is an important issue.

Detecting circulating tumor cells (CTCs) in blood before surgery may help predict outcomes in patients with head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC). Here, we show when combined with tumor size and lymph node involvement from routine imaging, CTC status identifies high‐risk patients with poorer survival—offering a simple, minimally invasive tool ...
