Seed Quality and Longevity of Four Cowpea Accessions in Relation to Seed Coat Colour
Background: Cowpea is one of the most important legumes grown as a sole crop or integrated into farming systems in Africa. Seed quality plays a crucial role in plant population establishment in stressed environment. However, the behaviour of cowpea seeds with different seed coat colours at storage is not known.

Seed colour and linolenic acid effects on agronomic traits in flax
Solin flax (Linum usitatissimum L.) is an edible-oil crop that must have less than 5% linolenic acid in its seed oil and a yellow seed coat. Seed vigour of solin is often lower than that of brown-seeded linseed flax and this lower seed vigour has been ...

Molecular characterization of covRS mutations in M1UK Streptococcus pyogenes
Group A Streptococcus (GAS) acquires covRS mutations driving a hypervirulent bacterial state, frequently associated with invasive disease‐like necrotizing fasciitis. We demonstrate that the newly emerged M1UK GAS lineage can also acquire these mutations.

A Workflow to Accelerate Microstructure‐Sensitive Fatigue Life Predictions
This study introduces a workflow to accelerate predictions of microstructure‐sensitive fatigue life. Results from frameworks with varying levels of simplification are benchmarked against published reference results. The analysis reveals a trade‐off between accuracy and model complexity, offering researchers a practical guide for selecting the optimal ...
