The seeding of tau pathology alters the endolysosomal system [PDF]
AbstractBackgroundTau pathology and endolysosomal alterations co‐occur in brains of Alzheimer’s Disease and other tauopathy patients, but the relationship between these two pathological features is currently not understood.MethodTau pathology can be modeled in vitro by seeding recombinant tau fibrils on human tau expressing cells, recapitulating tau ...

Loss of intranetwork and internetwork resting state functional connections with Alzheimer\u27s disease progression [PDF]
Alzheimer\u27s disease (AD) is the most common cause of dementia. Much is known concerning AD pathophysiology but our understanding of the disease at the systems level remains incomplete.

Enteropathogenic E. coli (EPEC) infects the human intestinal epithelium, resulting in severe illness and diarrhoea. In this study, we compared the infection of cancer‐derived cell lines with human organoid‐derived models of the small intestine. We observed a delayed in attachment, inflammation and cell death on primary cells, indicating that host ...

Melinjo seed extract increases adiponectin multimerization in physiological and pathological conditions [PDF]
AbstractMelinjo seed extract (MSE) contains large amounts of polyphenols, including dimers of trans-resveratrol (e.g. gnetin C, L, gnemonoside A, B and D), and has been shown to potentially improve obesity. However, there is no clinical evidence regarding the anti-obesity effects of MSE, and its mechanisms are also unclear.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Occurrence and diversity of Xanthomonas campestris pv. campestris in vegetable brassica fields in Nepal [PDF]
Black rot caused by Xanthomonas campestris pv. campestris was found in 28 sampled cabbage fields in five major cabbage-growing districts in Nepal in 2001 and in four cauliflower fields in two districts and a leaf mustard seed bed in 2003.

Seed pathology of non-domesticated species of tropical ecosystems
Abstract: Seed pathology is an area of study that began in the last century and has been developing since then, with increasing contribution especially to agricultural production systems. However, in the environmental area, studies began much later, but showed equal importance, especially for plant restoration and germplasm conservation programs.
