Effect of common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) seed viability on drying dynamics
‘Tina’ and ‘Libra’ cultivar seeds of the common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) beginning germination capacity of 98%, were subjected to artificial ageing. In the thermal chamber, they were twice treated for 72 hours at 45°C.

Improving seed potato quality in Ethiopia: a value chain perspective [PDF]
In Ethiopia, use of low-quality seed potatoes by the majority of potato growers is associated with underdevelopment of the seed potato value chains. Three seed potato systems are present in Ethiopia: the informal seed system, the alternative seed system ...

A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.

The relationship between seed coat color and seed quality in watermelon Crimson sweet
This work was carried out to determine the relationship between seed coat color and seed quality in Crimson sweet watermelon. Seed lots (1, 2, 3, and 4) were prepared taking into consideration seed coat colors in fresh seeds with naked eye.

Adaptaquin selectively kills glioma stem cells while sparing differentiated brain cells. Transcriptomic and proteomic analyses show Adaptaquin disrupts iron and cholesterol homeostasis, with iron chelation amplifying cytotoxicity via cholesterol depletion, mitochondrial dysfunction, and elevated reactive oxygen species.

The giant genome of lily provides insights into the hybridization of cultivated lilies
Lilies are economically important monocots known for their ornamental flowers, bulbs, and large genomes. The absence of their genomic information has impeded evolutionary studies and genome-based breeding efforts.

Cosmic Microwave Background Anisotropies from Scaling Seeds: Generic Properties of the Correlation Functions [PDF]
In this work we present a partially new method to analyze fluctuations which are induced by causal scaling seeds. We show that the power spectra due to this kind of seed perturbations are determined by five analytic functions, which we determine ...
