Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

FastTree-Guided Genetic Algorithm for Credit Scoring Feature Selection
Feature selection is pivotal in enhancing the efficiency of credit scoring predictions, where misclassifications are critical because they can result in financial losses for lenders and exclusion of eligible borrowers. While traditional feature selection

Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Self-Tune Linear Adaptive-Genetic Algorithm for Feature Selection
Genetic algorithm (GA) is an established machine learning technique used for heuristic optimisation purposes. However, this natural selection-based technique is prone to premature convergence, especially of the local optimum event.

Research On Energy-saving Operation Of High-speed Trains Based On Improved Genetic Algorithm
The traditional genetic algorithm has been widely used in energy-saving optimization of train operation, but due to the uncertainty of the evolution direction of it’s population chromosomes, it has caused some problems such as a large amount of local ...

Optimisation of the weighting functions of an H∞ controller using genetic algorithms and structured genetic algorithms [PDF]
In this paper the optimisation of the weighting functions for an H∞ controller using genetic algorithms and structured genetic algorithms is considered. The choice of the weighting functions is one of the key steps in the design of

EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.
