Linking neurogenesis, oligodendrogenesis, and myelination defects to neurodevelopmental disruption in primary mitochondrial disorders

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mitochondrial remodeling shapes neural and glial lineage progression by matching metabolic supply with demand. Elevated OXPHOS supports differentiation and myelin formation, while myelin compaction lowers mitochondrial dependence, revealing mitochondria as key drivers of developmental energy adaptation.

Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) Sensor Based on Optimal Pre- and Post-Selection

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2019
A surface plasmon resonance (SPR) refractive index sensing technique based on the optimal pre-and post-selection (PPS) is put forward. The intensity contrast ratio (ICR) is introduced to estimate the precision of this sensing technique. Compared with the

TOWED DREDGE FOR COLLECTION OF MICROPLASTICS FROM THE SURFACE OF THE BOTTOM THROUGH DENSITY SEPARATION

open access: yesГеологія і корисні копалини Світового океану, 2023
The publication reflects the problematic issues related to the need to create effective equipment for the selection of microplastics from the bottom surface of water areas, which is one of the relatively new types of pollutants in aquatic ecosystems. The

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

Multiscale Resource Selection for a Reintroduced Elk Population

open access: yesAnimals
Patterns of resource selection are driven by the decision-making processes of animals occurring at multiple scales from where to establish a home range (i.e., second order selection) to which resource patches to use within the home range (i.e., third ...

Selection of reference specimens for assessing the efficiency of part surface nitriding

open access: yesВестник Самарского университета: Аэрокосмическая техника, технологии и машиностроение, 2017
The use of corset reference specimens for carrying out fatigue tests and smooth reference specimens for determining residual stresses in a surface layer to assess the sufficiency of nitriding (thermochemical processing) is substantiated in the paper. The

Medium effects on the selection of sequences folding into stable proteins in a simple model

open access: yes, 2004
We study the medium effects on the selection of sequences in protein folding by taking account of the surface potential in HP-model. Our analysis on the proportion of H and P monomers in the sequences gives a direct interpretation that the lowly ...

Finite frequency selective surface modelling

open access: yesThe 8th European Conference on Antennas and Propagation (EuCAP 2014), 2014
In this paper we describe the development of an electromagnetic modelling technique to investigate edge illumination effects on finite size FSS performance. The work extends the commonly used unit cell approach and models the FSS as a linear array with Gaussian beam excitation.

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

Optimal Strategy Selection for Moving Target Defense Based on Markov Game

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2017
With the evolution of the research on network moving target defense (MTD), the selection of optimal strategy has become one of the key problems in current research.
