PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN TRAKTOR TERHADAP TEGAKAN TINGGAL PADA BEBERAPA PENGUSAHAAN HUTAN DI KALIMANTAN TIMUR

open access: yesJurnal Penelitian Hasil Hutan (Journal of Forest Products Research), 2017
The  damage  to  residual stands  as a  result  of  tractor  logging is evaluated.  In 10 concessions  in East Kalimantan, the number of  trees felled  per  hectare  was corelated with the percent  decrease in the number of residual trees (20 cm and up ...

Assessment of timber extraction distance and skid road network in steep karst terrain [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
This study aims to define a simple and effective method to calculate skidding distances on steep karst terrain, rich in ground obstacles (stoniness and rockiness) to support decision planning of secondary and primary forest infrastructure network for ...

NKCC1: A key regulator of glioblastoma progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioblastoma (GBM) progression is driven by disrupted chloride cotransporter homeostasis. NKCC1 is highly expressed in stem‐like, astrocytic, and progenitor cells, correlating with earlier recurrence, while overall survival remains unaffected. NKCC1 serves as a prognostic marker and potential therapeutic target, linking chloride transporter imbalance ...

Transcriptional profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles from prebiopsy prostate cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RNA profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles (EVs) from blood samples of men undergoing prostate biopsy identifies transcripts associated with clinically significant prostate cancer. Integrative analysis with public tumor datasets links EV‐derived gene signatures to tumor stage and progression‐free survival, highlighting CASP3, XRCC2, and RIT1 ...

The Effects of Selective Logging Behaviors on Forest Fragmentation and Recovery

open access: yesInternational Journal of Forestry Research, 2012
To study the impacts of selective logging behaviors on a forest landscape, we developed an intermediate-scale spatial model to link cross-scale interactions of timber harvesting, a fine-scale human activity, with coarse-scale landscape impacts.

Effect of Experimental Selective Logging on Tropical Butterflies

open access: yesConservation Biology, 2001
Abstract: I investigated the effects of an experimental selective logging regime on the assemblage of fruit‐feeding butterflies in replicated experimental plots in the Chiquibul Forest, Belize. Over a 12‐month period, I caught 1187 individuals of 49 species using fruit‐baited traps.

Proteasome inhibitor, ixazomib prevents topoisomerase‐I degradation and reverses irinotecan resistance in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Ixazomib inhibits proteasome‐mediated degradation of topoisomerase I induced by irinotecan, thereby restoring drug sensitivity and promoting tumor cell death in colorectal cancer. Irinotecan, a topoisomerase I (topoI) inhibitor, is widely used for colorectal cancer, but resistance remains a major clinical challenge.
