Targeted modulation of IGFL2‐AS1 reveals its translational potential in cervical adenocarcinoma
Cervical adenocarcinoma patients face worse outcomes than squamous cell carcinoma counterparts despite similar treatment. The identification of IGFL2‐AS1's differential expression provides a molecular basis for distinguishing these histotypes, paving the way for personalized therapies and improved survival in vulnerable populations globally.

MAPPING DISTURBANCE FROM SELECTIVE LOGGING IN TROPICAL FORESTS OF THE YUCATAN PENINSULA, MEXICO
Background. Mapping selective logging impacts on the Yucatan Peninsula is important to pursuing carbon emissions reduction and biodiversity conservation goals. Objective. To evaluate the effectiveness of applying remote sensing techniques using LANDSAT 8

Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Long-Term Impacts of Selective Logging on Amazon Forest Dynamics from Multi-Temporal Airborne LiDAR
Forest degradation is common in tropical landscapes, but estimates of the extent and duration of degradation impacts are highly uncertain. In particular, selective logging is a form of forest degradation that alters canopy structure and function, with ...

Understanding changes in the landscape based on a Landsat remote sensing analysis in the Karbi Anglong hills, Assam, India [PDF]
The landscape of the Karbi Anlong hills (State of Assam, India), south of the Kaziranga National Park, is shaped by small-scale farmers of the Karbi tribe.

Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

Applications of Distributed Optimal Control in Economics-The Case of Forest Management [PDF]
This paper presents a theoretical model to find the optimal selective-logging regime of a size-distributed forest. The law of motion of the economic model is governed by a partial differential equation that describes the evolution of the forest stock ...

Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

NECROMASS PRODUCTION: STUDIES IN UNDISTURBED AND LOGGED AMAZON FORESTS [PDF]
Necromass stocks account for up to 20% of carbon stored in tropical forests and have been estimated to be 14–19% of the annual aboveground carbon flux. Both stocks and fluxes of necromass are infrequently measured. In this study, we directly measured the

Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...
