Self-Injection Locking of a Gain-Switched Laser Diode [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Applied, 2021
We experimentally observe a self-injection locking regime of the gain-switched laser to a high-Q optical microresonator. We reveal that the comb generated by the gain-switched laser experiences a dramatic reduction of comb-teeth linewidths in this regime.

Efficiency of Self-Injection Locked Lasers

open access: yesPhotonics
The integrated III-V self-injection locked (SIL) laser exhibits excellent linewidth compression, noise reduction, and frequency stability. However, the laser’s low efficiency and fluctuating output power severely limit its applications in optical ...

Microresonator and Laser Parameters Definition via Self-Injection Locking [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Applied, 2020
Self-injection locking to a high-quality-factor microresonator is a key component of various up-to-date photonic applications, including compact narrow-linewidth lasers and microcomb sources.

Influence of the microresonator nonlinearity on the self-injection locking effect [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2019
The effect of self-injection locking of a laser to a nonlinear microresonator is considered. It is shown that an additional detuning arises in the system, depending on the pump power.

Self-injection linear polarization locking of a fiber laser [PDF]

open access: yesFiber Lasers XV: Technology and Systems, 2018
We present a novel approach for linear polarized operation of a fiber laser not requiring any intra-cavity components, but relying on an external self-seeding effect.

Self-Injection Locking of a Vortex Spin Torque Oscillator by Delayed Feedback. [PDF]

open access: yesSci Rep, 2016
AbstractThe self-synchronization of spin torque oscillators is investigated experimentally by re-injecting its radiofrequency (rf) current after a certain delay time. We demonstrate that the integrated power and spectral linewidth are improved for optimal delays. Moreover by varying the phase difference between the emitted power and the re-injected one,
