A New Approach to Suspension Control: PID Combined Skyhook

open access: yesJournal of Mechanical Engineering
This study introduces a control approach that enhances a PID-based active suspension with a skyhook-inspired semi-active effect. PID is widely used in active systems, while skyhook provides effective damping for semi-active setups.

Integration of Low‐Voltage Nanoscale MoS2 Memristors on CMOS Microchips

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This article presents the first monolithic integration of nanoscale MoS2‐based memristors into the back‐end‐of‐line of foundry‐fabricated CMOS microchips in a one‐transistor‐one‐resistor (1T1R) architecture. The MoS2‐based 1T1R cells exhibit forming‐free, nonvolatile resistive switching with ultra‐low operating voltages, low cycle‐to‐cycle variability ...

Oxygen‐Tunnel Indium Tin Oxide Vertical Channel Transistors with Enhanced Current Density and Reliability for Monolithic 3D Compute‐In‐Memory Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Oxygen‐tunnel (OT) indium tin oxide (ITO) vertical channel transistors (VCTs) enable reliable, high‐density gain‐cell memory for monolithic 3D integration. A sandwiched SiN/SiO2/SiN OT stack selectively regulates oxygen transport, suppressing parasitic electrode oxidation while stabilizing channel oxygen vacancies, thereby suppressing carrier injection

Scale model test of a semi-active heave compensation system for deep-sea tethered ROVs

open access: yes, 2016
The deep-sea ROV system is usually equipped with a heave compensation system under harsh sea states, and a semi-active heave compensation system that consists of a passive and an active subsystem is presented, the compensation mechanism of which is ...

DeepCanola: Phenotyping brassica pods using semi-synthetic data and active learning

open access: yes
Phenotyping, the measurement of attributes or traits, is crucial in selecting superior cultivars for specific environmental situations. This is a time-consuming process when applied to large populations but can be accelerated through the use of deep ...
